And Not only Main Hoon Na..

Srk has tried to justify gangster Latif in Raees.

bold: Which RAW agent "supports"it...Pathaan has intel information that Outfit X did the operations...and Jim isn't an agent of no country anymore...he even doesn't feel anymore as Indian.

blue: How did he "justify" Latif?

Did you see Raees? It was based on gangster bootlegger of Gujarat. They said it was fictional but events were all inspired from what actually happened. I know coz I lived in Gujarat of that time.
Movies are soft power. Clearly a try to change perception that Raees was doing illegal alcohol trade but his involvement in the 1993 Bombay blasts was co-incidental. By extension viewers start thinking that oh may be Latif was also a good guy in wrong business coz the story was of Latif’s life.

How do you know that no RAW agent has gone rogue? That wouldn't be said openly even if it happened

Also its a movie..its fiction either way. Only insecure people get offended over shit like this. The movie and the overall spyverse are clearly patriotic and portray RAW in a good light which is good. But they also portray Muslims well and don't give in to hateful us vs them bs which is what your type hates.

A movie about Hindu cow vigilantes would be ok as long as they show the reason for it which is stealing and illegal cow smuggling that happens and the community that is involved in that.

I would like to have you discussing the Pathaan movie...maybe just try to not getting angry with members of a certain mindset...they aren't open to arguments which don't fit to their kind of thinking. You also can just not acknowledge their presence.

I'll only focus on arguments that concern the content of the movie...and only on the English written ones...

No, let me rephrase lol, basically they're holding a meeting in the office, and one of the team members is listing various terrorist attacks that have happened around the world, where ISIS, Boko Haram etc have been held responsible, Pathaan is then claiming that these terrorist organisations weren't involved in those attacks, they were actually done by Outfit X. 😆 So Outfit X doesn't operate ISIS, Boko Haram, but those terrorist attacks have been falsely attributed to them, they were all done by Outfit X. 😆

I guess that in one viewing one cannot get the subtleties...

bold: That wasn't what Pathaan said: He didn't deny a (very) probable involvement of ISI, Boko Haram and other terrorists. The JOCR had got the intel, that Outfit X were the operators, but that they are a group for hire and operated payed by the respective client (which were most probably ISI, Boko Haram etc.).

Clearly setting up a narrative.

In THIS movie, it's indeed Outfit X, the problem.

What kind of narrative is there set up in your opinion (who didn't watch the movie and only argue with second-hand-knowledge)?

eventhough i am an srk fan i am not comfortable with saying isis and boko haram were sponsored by outfit x kinda nonsense. what is the point of fake narratives to protect isi and islamist terrorists always ? why and is srk comfortable with all this nonsense ?

You see, snatch, you (also) misunderstood...Outfit x didn't "sponsor" anyone...and in this movie not once was there a "fake narrative to protect isi and islamist terrorists".

You won't get an answer to the bold...except if it was a subject of the live press conference with the 3 main leads and the director (which I've yet to watch/hear).

Anyways, contrary to your assertion in your review, that Pathaan hasn't a story, there is a story...and like most stories, it is a fictional one. As you've watched the movie, you should have been able to see the story...if you didn't, that isn't the fault of the filmmaker...

You also wrote: "Rubina literally says there are a "few bad extremists" in the ISI..." which is false. Rubina said "a colonel with some extremists from ISI"...and as I already wrote (and proved), she is not with ISI anymore from start to end of the movie (she only PRETENDS once to trap Pathaan).

I love it when the movies show villain a bit more powerful than the protagonist.

Pathaan succeeds on that front ..

And THAT is classic Siddharth Anand for you. Same template for every movie. He only makes movies that pleases the eye- colors, locales, hot bods of males n females, stylish fights, flying, kicking...

He is the typical chick flick of action movies. Iykwim.

Totally enjoyed reading this review btw😆

I think SRK doesn't want to upset his middle east, pakistan fans as he has a good fanbase there so he is extra careful about presenting this particular aspect with kid gloves. Just like how BJP croonies make his life hell for being a muslim, islamic fanatics will make his life hell if he blatantly shows majority of terrorists are muslims and Pakistan is a breeding ground for terrorism with it's army always playing a major role in harbouring them. Facts are facts but it is also a fact that there are regular, normal citizens of Pakistan who are his ardent fans and these things would upset them. And also the risk of pissing off islamic heads of other countries and that could effect him business wise too. So he chose the safe route?

It's alright anyway, that Vivek Agnihotri guy has blatantly minted money and mooched off the tragedy of Kashmiri Pandits and projects himself as some great patriot. When he can show his narrative, so can SRK n co. Both are citizens of India with same democratic rights to freedom of expression.

I don't like/enjoy both narratives so haven't seen TKF nor have interest to watch Pathaan ( this more to do with me being scalded by War earlier🙏🏽)
