I think it is a channel. The episode is not totally in makers hand and last call is for channel. So most likely if it get major cutting of scenes it is because channel forces them to do so. Because if makers do not want to have it they will not even shoot such lengthy scenes. There is a difference in cutting the scenes versus editing them. The reason they released them is to have viewers know about it.
