Bhansali was getting targeted by RW IT cell first, who spread canard that he will show Khilji as lover or show intimate scene or fantasy between him and Padmavati, and that he has devious design to cast real life couple as Khilji and Padmavati. Agniveer was first to spread the propaganda that Padmavati will promote love jihad or else there is no reason to cast a top star like Ranveer as Khilji. Agniveer guys are pro BJP.

And yes even they brought BW together. It was good to see people take stand against slapping Bhansali, death threats to Deepika, attacks on theatres screening the film. SSR got lot of flak for saying he felt ashamed of Rajput in his surname after these attacks in name of Rajput pride.

That riled up RW on Twitter a lot then.

Yes Bhansali, DP, RS, SK won when Padmavat succeeded.

No support from mainstream media, no govt promoting it.
