Actually, RAW, NSA, Security agencies, Army, Navy, BSF everyone should go rouge. We will see how our neighbours help us.Indian are enjoying freedom today because apart from everyone who fought for Independance, our armed forces work effortlessly to protect us.

It is not just armed forces because of which we enjoy freedom. Pakistan also has army which protects their border and so does China. But their people do not have this kind of freedom. We should also give credit to our politicians who till now whatever happens help in peaceful transfer of power, our supreme court judges and lawyers who work to make sure that freedom written in constitution is upheld, election commission who carries out largest election in the world, journalist (not all), farmers who feed us, buisinessmen/doctor/engineers/workers who helps to build economy and we all know in bad economy everythign collapses, police officers who are equally important to maintain internal peace. So everyone helps in nation building and contribute in maintaining freedom. Because of our economy we can afford to pay for armed forces. I don't get this obsession that only armed forces are patriots and others are not doing anything.

Disclaimer - Haven't watched the movie, nor will I watch. But from the discussion above, the narrative is -

1. Pathan is a RAW agent who is muslim and obviously a patriot.

2. In the beginning it's established that the main villains are Pakistan and ISI (yeah, got it. Then, surprise, surprise - it flips the narrative.smiley2smiley2 )

3. India and indian agencies let him down big time so he obviously and justifiably turns anti-india and goes on a revenge trip. (Heroes are always justified, especially when they are played by SRK. On a similar note, Suneel Shetty had a similar role in Main Hu Na. There he was the villain and SRK preached him there can be no excuse to go against one's nation.)

4. So anyway, moving forward, our dashing and devasted hero is fighting his own nation who let his wife and child die. By this point, the main villains are shifted to somewhere else - yes, not Pakistan or ISI but India and RAW. How convenient! But we shouldn't bring that up to spoil this party. Teri bhi chup, meri bhi chup.smiley36😆

All I can say is I didn't expect any different from this film. Bollywood peddling lies and showcasing stories to satisfy their egos. My poor mind wonders why they could not bring a truly patriotic muslim story - that the Pathaan was working with RAW to bring down some American/British or even Pakistani plot. It's not like there are no patriotic muslims in India. And the movie will still be loved.

But no. The ultimate villain must be India. Jaise nadiya ki dhaara kahi se bhi bahke saagar mein milti hai, every narritive must end up in vilifying Indian police, government, army, basically everything Indian. That's the end goal. And the srk fans are too deluded to realize it.

This is a bit awkward seeing that you jumped the gun and went on a rant, but John Abraham is the one who goes on a revenge trip. Pathan AKA SRK is a RAW agent who brings him down. Pathan works for India and kills the terrorist. Lawl 😕😕

Nothing to be awkward as I already had my disclaimer. But I am happy to be corrected, thanks. 😆

And I stand by my post. The ultimate goal is to vilify India while still being politically correct. I must say both are achieved by Pathaan.

I’d rather you watch the film and judge for yourself whether you really think India was vilified. ISL was shown as the enemy throughout the entire film while India ended up being the winner. Judging by how you’ve already made up your mind about the movie, you can come up with your own conclusion.

Sorry, not happening. I would rather watch an old Bond film.

Another thought, and not directed to you personally 😆, but I wonder how many made their mind about Kashmir Files without watching it?

You can ask them. I don’t ever make up my mind on anything without seeing/reading/experiencing it for myself. That’s why I watched Kashmir Files without having any prior judgements.
