From whatever I understood I think Meerab considers this marriage as the root cause of all her problems. She was living her life happily. Her adoptive parents were very supportive of her. She wants to pursue LLB and become a lawyer. Marriage was not in her mind. Her problems started after the announcement made by Maa Begum.
