If moreshwar (VG) would have been legitimate son, then appa would not have given money to gurav in a hush-hush manner and wouldn't have said, don't expect me to repeat every time. Although he is a gentleman, the rural places or in kolhapur like places in Maharashtra and in those days - may be having an extra affair (or keeping a savat) is/was a regular practice. Why VG would be staying separately in a remote place and that too unknown to all siblings ? As far as Mahadeo knows only 5 siblings existed. So this eldest son (VG) born out of some pre-marriage affair of Anna. IMO.
You have a point. I see where you are coming from, and yes in those days this was possible. But my thought process is little different on this. So We agree to disagree.
I still think morya would not be an illegitimate son. Overall the base and concept of the show does not indicate in that direction. Appa took stand for prabha maami, gave her shelter, the injured guy who came to get treated when his brother attacked and followed him, that time appa said if the guy was involved in wrong activities then he would have to call the cops. The money he got afterward he donated as he thought it was not earned honestly. Prabha maami knew about morya, so all this indicates appa does not seem like a person who would have extra marital affair or a second wife.
Also, not directly involved with this topic, but I feel it is shown in the show that except shripad so far all the agnihotris even in second generation kids are very high on moral, ethics and principle. One example, Uma, who tells sadanand you have not committed murder and this should be proven by telling the truth, sadanand refuses to make an excuse of medical condition, even uma tells her assistant he is man of principal, Rohini does not take fees for her practice, mani does not lie, neel also same so all protagonists are shown with very high morale and quality. if we add all this, then morya being an illegitimate son is highly unlikely, there is more to it than this. This is how I feel.
