There were better films released this year than the ones nominated for best picture category. It looks like they checked all the boxes by nominating different types of movies, as if they are different dishes being served to the guests.

Lets have a mindless entertainer - Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.

Lets have a critically acclaimed film which was also a Blockbuster - Drishyam 2

One OTT film - Darlings

One female led film - Gangubai

Oh they are both Alia starrers? Doesn't matter. In fact its better.

Kashmir Files gets one token nomination so that people couldn't say the film was TOTALLY ignored in award shows, despite being the biggest hit this year.

As long as you acknowledge that it is great! If hits and not substantial critical acclaim matter, she clearly should have more. She won awards like "female star of the year" or style icon. Nothing much that really acknowledged her acting. Maybe one or two after her success in numerous movies became a little hard to deny.

All I can say is my Bhais acting is hardly acknowledged also. Makes me sad. Then I think we’ll the Rock won’t win Oscar’s be he’s clearly more famous than the most recent Oscar winner (who’s name escapes me) 😆 so in that way I think big fame is above awards. Especially Bollywood ones
