This is obviously entirely speculative as I have absolutely no inside information whatsoever. But maybe Ash’s over-protectiveness comes from the fact that Aaradhya is going to be an only child, and somehow I’m not sure if that’s by choice. For any mom knowing that this is your only chance at being a mom to a child and doting on them probably has some affect. So maybe Aishwarya is overcompensating. Also, Abhishek and Shweta were both sent to boarding schools abroad as were Shweta’s kids. If Aaradhya too is being sent away in a year or two then all the more reason for Ash to cling to her this much now. Another and very practical reason could be that she is genuinely trying to protect her child from the swarm of paparazzi always hovering around. Aaradhya may be as tall as Ash but she’s just an 11 year old kid. And we really have no idea what her dynamic with her parents are away from the cameras. For all we know she could be a total daddy’s girl at home.

As far as the bangs, I am very curious to see if Aaradhya will rebel at 17-18 with her clothing and hairstyle.

This makes a lot of sense & I too feel it is b/c Ash is being protective but also… She’s had a decade of this? Idk, maybe am being harsh.

But she looks happy & I feel she’s way more of a Maa’s girl than Daddy’s girl lol.

I also feel women who have no sons are over attached to their daughters. Women are attached to daughters anyway and more so if it is an only child but if they have no son, they probably feel insecure at prospect of losing daughter or separating from her anyway once she grows up and gets married.

I feel Hema taking Esha and Ahana along everywhere and being so close to them after their marriage and kids also stems from similar insecurity.

Ash's own mom also used to accompany her everywhere when she was unmarried. She was there at all award shows and pageants etc. Her mom is still close to her. So I think Ash is probably trying to be same way.

Like Esha said she too will accompany her daughter everywhere the way Hema accompanied her or the way her nani used to accompany Hema everywhere. Kids tend to mimic same behaviour as they got from own parents.

Probably Ash would be a little less clingy if she had another kid or a son as well. Though sons nowadays also live away from home and do not live in same house. But still, Indians feel they have less right over daughter after marriage than sons.

I may be wrong but I also feel Ash's own bad experience with men like Salman and Vivek may have a role in making her over conscious about Aaradhya hoping she does not make same mistakes in getting into disastrous relations with wrong guys in future. I reckon Ash is going to be more cautious when Aaradhya grows older.

Aaru's lip and eye shape is def more like Aish's. Her nose and face are more round compared to Aish. But they say as kids grow older they lose baby fat around the face and features become sharper. She is def going to be taller then Aish. That is def a Bachchan trait.
