Nikhil meets with a tragedy. Perhaps trying to save naaz from goons . Maybe he takes her for outing and the goons tackling her. He beats up gets seriously injured. He lands in ICU . Maybe coma. Advait takes the stand.

Something can happen to Nikhil or he makes a mistake and advait takes the stand

Kapoors criminal record can not be erased. If Ekam does a proper investigation, he will figure out the truth. Also, these Kapoors have forgotten about the goon. That man can be used as a witness and the goon knows everything about Shamsher. At the same time, the goon has no idea about Jasmine's involvement (so Jasmine's death isn't big issue).

Also, Nehmat, Ekam and Naaz have seen the goon, but only Naaz knows that Advait (probably it was Shamsher's order) gave money to the goon to kill Ekam (later however Advait changed the decision and transferred Ekam to a different area).

I understand at present Nikhil is an immature person, but are they going keep Nikhil like that forever?? Shamsher keeps saying Nikhil is irresponsible yet at the same time allows Nikhil to do whatever he wants ( Advait never refuses to sign his cheques). During wedding when Nikhil tried to rebel, Shamsher handled him. So Shamsher knows how to manage Nikhil, however, Shamsher doesn't care how Nikhil lives.

Now it is actually Jasmine vs Shamsher and Naaz vs Advait 😆

If Nehmat comes in Advait's support, Jasmine will not have anything else to do.

But what will happen to the Kapoor's criminal record??

May be because Advait is more capable than Nikhil in this field. Politics is not like any other job. You need certain shrewdness and intelligence to excel in it. And from the looks of it Advait has that while Nikhil is more simple and laidback. And also in families, younger kids are always given more leeway than elder ones. They are allowed to enjoy life more than the elder ones, who are expected to take up responsibilities. Same was the case with Tejo and Jasmine. Tejo was always expected to be more understanding, more responsible and more capable while Jasmine was allowed to be childish and immature.

Shamsher doesn't need to make Nikhil a politician, but he needs to make sure, as a father, that Nikhil understands life. If Shamsher is not doing that, it means he is actually turning his own son into an incapable man, a person who will always be dependent on his brother.

Further, since Nikhil is a married man, Shamsher cannot think of Nikhil as a child anymore. Nikhil needs to learn to handle his finances and live independently. Nikhil can select his own career if he doesn't have a passion for business or politics.
