This one seemed like an outlier and went relatively well till the entry of Malvika. Progressively went down the drain since then.

I have read that the original Bengali show Sreemoyee which it is adapted from showed the second husband dying and Sreemoyee (Anupamaa) disappearing to some old age home after writing a note to the 'maayka' asking them to not contact her. Hope the same happens here as well. 😂 😂

Replying to BOLD

Even if same happens here no one is going to buy it . We all know , one Achutam Keshavam on her ph and she'll be back in her heaven serving chai and theplas , jhoola jhooloing with Ache Pita and giggling with her holier-than-thou bacche ...before the poor man puppy has even turned cold in his grave !!

Sreemoyee was much better in my opinion. There also had its own ridiculous plots but man Sreemoyee never coddled her kids like this. In fact, after getting married to Rohit (Anuj there) she never entertained the Shahs there. I hated the ending there but at least I did not hate Sreemoyee or Rohit. In fact, Rohit is the best ML I have seen in any Indian Television show. His integrity was maintained till the end and he even reprimanded Sreemoyee when she was at fault. I still watch some of the episodes because man what a character he was. And there also Dithi (Pakhi) was a paltubaaj but her reasons were reasonable and she was not a freeloader like this brat.

Sreemoyee feels like a work of art after seeing this mess. We initially liked Anupamaa because we saw that the totally black characters in Sreemoyee were shown to be grey and more relatable, like Paritosh having some respect for Anupamaa unlike his Sreemoyee counterpart who was an outright leech or Leela appreciating Anupamaa sometimes unlike Patralekha who hated Sreemoyee more than she ever loved her own son.

But the tracks now have proved Anupamaa to be a much bigger mess.

I really miss how strong Rohit's character was. He protected Sreemoyee but never blindly defended her.

Hasmukh's bengali version was bold enough to leave the house and move in with Sreemoyee so that she doesn't have to keep coming to that house to listen to taunts all day, just to check on his health. He didn't care about sanctity of marriage and blah blah.

Pratyush (Samar) and Ankita (Kinjal) sternly called things out when they found Sreemoyee tolerating anything wrong instead of being her tails.

Dithi was such a respectable character. Yes she didn't support her mother's second marriage but she was so strong independently, being studious to be a doctor, standing up to college bullying, marrying a poor ex-con with full disclosure, never once disrespecting his parents or widowed sister-in-law, shuttling between the city and the village doing double shifts so that she can be with the husband's family and so much more. Nobody who has only watched Sreemoyee will believe that she is the counterpart of the bratty Pakhi.

And most importantly, Sreemoyee was never shown to have any panic attacks to exaggerate how sad she is, except the scene where she was locked out of the house by her husband initially. She was super composed even when she found out about her ex-husband's EMA and went on to sing a sarcastic song for them at the party where everything was revealed 👏

Here the problem is Anupama is great maano ya na maano.. There Sreemoyee accepted that she could not raise Dithi properly. She accepted that only Rohit gave her the respect that she deserved and she never tolerated anyone ill speaking about Rohit. Even Anindo's (Vanraj) realization of his mistakes was shown properly. The best part was Sreemoyee never ever wanted to talk about the Senguptas and did not want to keep any contact with them except from Bapuji even when Anindo attempted suicide. And here if Vanraj attempts suicide, Anupama will go and do sewa.. kya pata khali pair mandir bhi chali jaaye. Would like to see puppy's reaction then. Oh may be the royal puppy will accompany her 🤣

Here Pakhi calls Anuj Jodu ka Gulaam and Maa listens and cries. Moreover, the dramas in Sreemoyee had some dignity and here it feels like a fish market.
