Why remakes of iconic films?

Why can fans not petition to stop remakes and sequels of iconic films?

Some films should never be touched. I was never in favour of remake of Don, Sholay, Agneepath etc.

Now they are after Hera Pheri or there are rumours of remakes of AAA or DDLJ?

Why?

No one can replace original.

Raju, Shyam, Baburao are most iconic characters of careers of Akshay, Sunil and Paresh. How can anyone else replace them?

Also, why no original content in BW? Why everything has to be a bloody remake or sequel?

Already most films are inspired from old films or books or regional or global cinema or folklore.

Why the hell they rehash same things and take audience for granted?

I'm okay with Hera Pheri 3 if it will have three original cast.

Don remake was good, probable best remake in Bollywood. but Sholay & Agnepath sucked.

I do not like iconic films being touched. Can you imagine remake of DDLJ?

The very idea of remakes or sequels of stuff like Mr India, AAA, DDLJ gives me creeps.

Ddlj already got a remake in the form of bunty sharma ki dulhania which didnt reach anywhere near the original.

Audience is free to reject the content. Eventually the trend will die its own natural death. But if your concern is tarnishing the sanctity of the originals , can't help you there. All of these iconic films will always be held in high regard , I don't think spin offs or remakes will make the originals seem any lesser , quite the opposite actually.

I won't lie... I'd be up for a DDLJ, K2H2, Baazigar or K3G remakes staring Aaryan and Nysa 😅

Usually remakes are trash. RGV Ki Aag murdered Sholay.

Sholay itself was inspired by many films but still it was a well made film for Indian audience.

Remake killed the original.

Some films and characters are best left untouched.

Why literally destroy the original?

I am sure fans of original Forrest Gump legit puked at LSC.
