I dont think, they should go ahead with it. It will be a big drawback to allow anyone to replace anyone.
Moreover, no one can replicate that kind of chemistry

without Akshay there is no hera pheri. its a dead franchise

Akshay should definitely lower his fees, completely agree with this. However, karthik is in no way comparable to Akshay. Akshay has 30 years in the industry, he’s well established, and has a long list of hits to his credits. He’s given 4 back to back disasters and needs a hit, but if he never has another hit he’ll be in limbo for a few years before he transitions into father or character roles. Karthik on the other hand is fairly new and in no way established enough where he can have a few back to back flops and still remain in the big leagues. Unless he marries Pashmina, or another industry daughter, and forever connects himself to Bollywood.

That is what it looks like he is trying to do but failing. I think Akshay had the same strategy.

I am happy that Karthik is doing Hera Pheri. I wonder why outsider supporter gang is offended. Akshay Kumar only sees money as he knows he is nearing his expiring days in Bollywood.
