Okay so I was speaking to my friend and was wondering when exactly did Basit fall in love with Ayesha? Or is he still not there yet? Can we point to a specific scene or episode that gave it away?
Also the same question for Ayesha, when did she fall in love with Basit?
The very first time Ayesha saw Basit, you know she is noticing him. The seed of attraction might have been laid right then and there. Same for Basit when he looked to his side and saw this frightened girl standing in his office. It is a moment rife with undercurrents of emotions.
I think for Basit we see his feelings for Ayesha grow over time...the first moment when we see him feel admiration for Ayesha is when he finds the money in the car. Then when he drops her home, there is again another layer added to it as he hears how Ayesha is a breadwinner for her family. When he comes back after the deal with Qudsia, that is most definitely when he sees her in a new light, as his wife to be, his life partner. Since that moment, Basit despite wanting wanting ignore or sideline her in his life, cannot help but pay attention to what she says. I think the first realisation of affection if not love in Basit for Ayesha is at the end of ep 12 when Basit enters his room and sees Ayesha working on the laptop. From that point onwards, Basit is hyper attuned to Ayesha, what she does, what she says. But I think he is yet to fully embrace what he feels for Ayesha as love. Since Mansur uncle pointing out that Basit is in love with Ayesha, Basit is shown pondering over that. Perhaps he has sort of understood that he desires Ayesha's presence in his life. But he is not comfortable with the idea still. Or else he would not have told Soha that when he thinks of Ayesha's mom, he wants to divorce Ayesha.
As for Ayesha, I think she felt admiration for Basit while she worked for him. After marrying him, I feel initially the whole thing might have seemed like some kind of fairy tale for her. But Basit's behaviour put her on guard. Since then she has been very wary about showing her emotions before him.
I think Ayesha and Basit for the first time admitted that they want each other when they were shouting at each other on the street in the darkness. Ayesha was saying, I fought with my mother to come to you.
Basit was saying, And you think it doesn't matter to me that you came!?
