Maybe she didn't actually expect Dev to turn up? She said to Vidhi at the time of the challenge that Dev doesn't normally come to those parties.

Also, the spiking drink part might not be her idea, but more of Yogika's or Rishabh's (is he still with the company?) or maybe even Arjun's (with the idea that alcohol might loosen her tongue and cause her to reveal secrets)

Sahi mein Amba ke intentions bahut ambiguous hain.

She knows Vidhi has a crush on Dev and that he also probably likes her then why mess this up.

Maybe she wanted to make her uncomfortable and embarrass her? And didn't expect Dev to actually show up?!

Or if she did expect him come, maybe she wanted to show that Vidhi is different from them and their society/ class. She doesn't know that Dev actually likes that in Vidhi!

Bold- more likely this. More to showcase to Vidhi that the gap between her's and Dev's world, is a big, big one, even if one sets the age gap aside.

Red- unlikely. If Amba is as perceptive as she seems, and knows Dev for the better part of two decades, she would be aware that Dev isn't a classist snob.

Amba ne aaj ke epi mei bola ki Dev ko Vidhi special lagti hai grounded hai magar ye sab karke wo Dev ko dikhana chahti hai ki ye bhi saari normal ladkiyo ki tarah hai. Chakachaundh dekh ke behek gyi.

Amba is manipulating Vidhi bc she knows V likes Dev. Ugh so terrible.

I wish Vidhi tried to understand people and their intentions .. Dev has neither asked her to change her clothes or ever will. He’s already told her that so why would one listen to Amba for advice on “entering devs world”?
