He is a liar. He watches films and also critiques them and dissects flaws. K Jo once revealed it in his own GQ interview with Aamir and the latter justified his criticism as honest feedback and listed all films he saw and told makers that it did not work for him.

Some in industry also themselves show films to Aamir and take his feedback.

Aamir does watch films. He avoids commenting now to avoid controversies as earlier he was bashed for criticising Black and Swades in public.

He is basically blunt and does not praise films for heck of it. So now to avoid controversies he claims he has not seen films. He critiques his own past work too and regretted doing Dil, Ishq type films earlier.

That said, he recently got divorced and is worried about its impact on Azaad and also about mental health of Ira who suffers from anxiety disorder. So it may be true he is watching less films and focusing remaining free time on family.

There could be another reason like relating Hindi movies to work and movies from other parts of the world as part of entertainment.

They work in Hindi movies and watching the same for entertainment means they won't be able to cut themselves off from work.

Aamir saying that he watches very few movies may be true too. When movies are part of your work so obviously watching movies may not be your preferred way enjoying your leisure time.

I think that is the difference between being at the peak of your career, having the drive to be absolutely at the top, at that point you compromise a bit on your leisure time to get more exposure about your own area of work. I just realized as we speak that in KWK Aamir did mention that looking back may be he would want to spend more time with family than obsessing over his career, like he did. So may be, he is actually prioritising his family time more than anything else. We wouldn't know.

Yes this. He broke down in interviews to News18 blaming himself for Ira's mental health issues as she suffered after his and Reena's divorce and was too little to accept it. He now seems to feel same for Azaad and spends time with him, reading to him, helping hm in studies and also tries ti spend time with Ira to make up for lost time. He cried and said he cannot bring those years of children's childhood back.

So quite likely that he focuses on family more now and does not use his free time to watch others' work
