Bollywood wale remake a South film and then claim they know nothing about other films? Losers.

I also noticed South stars are more well spoken. India Today tried to drag PS1 team into Mughals vs Cholas debate but team refused to take the bait saying every dynasty and empire are part of subcontinent history so nothing wrong when films are made and on what era.

They were happy they made film on Cholas now.

I was impressed with their candour and their refusal to get into North vs South or Mughals vs Cholas debate.

The first guy spoke well. 👍🏼 Hrithik would probably have read the book if someone told him it was about a 11-fingered Greek God.

At the risk of coming across as excusing him, not watching the OG when you're doing a remake is a good idea. You don't want to subconsciously copy from it.

Many writers do the same when they're writing adaptations of say, a mythology. If they read other adaptations while writing, you can end up borrowing even without realizing.

yes, it doesnt take much to say what he said whether one read the book or not, many would not have as it mostly confined to tamil nadu

I hate it when actors say they don't watch films and it is only in Bollywood that these do that and they are proud to say it . Where as south actors watch all languages and unabashedly admit to liking movies even hollywood folks say they love watching movies
