Abusing the audience

I have come to a conclusion that it's not anupama who was abused actually . It's we who are getting abused by the makers. Putting a storyline showing horrific abuse at the start and then WHITEWASHING the despicable characters not punishing them is disturbing to the core. Why did you even show that at first place ? The woman has positive characters at her side but they are sidelined and all we get is vulgar fight with abusive content thrown on us. 100 episodes of negativity with few positive episodes. I mean seriously is there anyone whose mental health is not getting affected?

My mental health suffers massive damage after every episode. I would have left the show if GauRup were not a part of it.

Me too. Those panic attacks and that verbal abuse was too much for me to handle.

People watch a show for the entertainment

This show gives headache to the people

This show is full of negativity now

Yeh to anupama ke on air hone se Pata chal gaya tha ki serial ka concept kya tha

Jub iska first promo aaya tha tabhi Pata chal gaya tha it is serial about husband children abusing her mother wife inspite of love and care

First promo mein yahi dikhya gaya ki .jahan anupama vanraj ki tie bandh rahi hoti Hai aur kehti hai aap to ism umr mein bhi young lagte ho

To vanraj Kehta hai ki ki tum 43 ki umr mein 50 year ki lagta hai

Idhar baa kehti ha kaam to Mera beta karta hai din bhar office mein kaam karke thak jaata hai yeh anupama Pata nahi poore din kya karti hai

To yeh baat anupama ke on air se pehle se hi Pata thi ki Anupama ka concept kya hai so people start watching show because it try focus on harsh reality and most of people could connect to problem shown in anupama as it was so real

Vanraj Ka anupama ko Ghar se Bahar nikapne nahi Dena yeh Saarinen bahut realistic thi

Jub anupama ne school food competition mein trophy jeeta to vanraj ka kehna yeh trophy Jeet kar kya proof karna chahti ho aise trophy to market 100 rs mein mil jaayenge ..

At first I stayed away from the show because when i saw the promo i realised that first 100-200 episodes will be about how anupama is tortured in this house by everyone then slowly she will break free from abuse and make her own identity.

My mom was watching from episode one. So i knew about whats going on. I watched on and off then after divorce i started watching regularly because i thought now dukh bhare din are over and they will show the positive side how anupama will become famous and shahs will realize their mistakes and she will punish them further.....but till this date i am waiting... nothing of that sort has happened.

So this is the main problems of itv. First they show glorification of tortures, abuse, harassment and we swallow it all in a hope that there will be punishment for these offenders but then it never comes. The bad guys are often forgiven or whitewashed or even if they are punished then its too less and too delayed that it doesn't have any impact.

audience is abused not anupama or anuj

they are whitewashing all bad villans like vanraj baa toshu pakhi etc

and making good ones worship criminals on show

I started watching it cos I liked to see anupama standing for herself slowly and steadily.... And it was me and my mom sitting and watching it togather when it comes in tv....

Then i took a break with the long long bhaashan moment.... Two episodes of bhashan were getting to both of us.....

I got interested again with anuj ka entry.....

Mom stopped watching and I went to hota tar..... But not very regular......

Even their romance was getting difficult to handle with anu constantly with the shah family and getting insulted to top it all...... Its like that cycle never ended.......

I skipped the whole toshu secret and disclosure episode and saw only yesterday and today......

Finally anupama is calling out the double standards on the face for baa and pakhi.... That is sort of refreshing to see.......

It is torture on many counts for the audience and kinda depressing.... It's more like take a small break and come back......

End of the day, it's major tel audience is tha homemaker at grass root level and they like to see the drama along with the bhashan and then mild giving back......

We as females are asked to be quite on all times and revolting does not come easy...... It comes with guilt and Anupama does showcase that aspects very well and thus, Completely relatable!!!!!
