Lol, no it's not, the original Dil Dhoondta was composed for a film in 1975 but was never used, Madan Mohan's son had tapes of his father's unused songs, when they were making Veer Zara, they were looking for that classic melody from the old Hindi music era. Madan Mohan's son who was working as CEO of YRF at the time suggested that he had tapes of his father's unused songs to Yash Chopra, and the rest is history.

The film credits original music to Madan Mohan, and the songs were recreated by his son.

Absolutely, just sharing the original scratch versions by Madan Mohan, amazing how these tunes composed decades ago were brought to life in the modern era. I wonder how many more gems like these are around.

But atleast this was part of the OG song. I remember my brother taught me and some of my friends "Hum pe yeh kisne upar se kachra daala" for the Madhuri Dixit song as an Aprils Day prank. We were too lil to understand it was a joke, and sang it in front of guests (in the kuch naya karke dikhao beta segment that used to happen in childhood). Horrified looks from them then, and all of us got a sound shouting later. Safe to say will never trust him with songs again.
