Rashmika Mandanna has reportedly suffered a serious hip injury while shooting for her upcoming films Ranabaali and Mysaa. According to reports, the actor sustained the injury during physically demanding action and dance sequences. Doctors have reportedly advised her to take six weeks of complete rest, followed by rehabilitation before returning to work.

As per reports, Rashmika suffered a complete tendon detachment in her hip, an injury considered severe by medical experts. Such injuries are commonly associated with professional athletes because of intense physical strain. Reports suggest doctors were surprised to see a similar condition in an actor, given the nature of the injury.

The actor is now expected to remain away from shooting for at least six weeks. She has reportedly been advised to undergo a structured rehabilitation programme to aid recovery and avoid further complications before resuming her packed work schedule. Neither Rashmika nor her team has officially commented on the reports so far.

One of the projects affected is Ranabaali, a pan India historical action drama directed by Rahul Sankrityan. Set between 1854 and 1878 during British rule, the film revolves around a warrior who rises against oppression to protect his people. Vijay Deverakonda plays the lead role, while Rashmika essays the character of Jayamma. Hollywood actor Arnold Vosloo features as the main antagonist.

Backed by Mythri Movie Makers in association with T Series, Ranabaali is scheduled to release in theatres on September 11, 2026, in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.

Rashmika is also headlining Mysaa, a period action thriller directed by Rawindra Pulle. The film is set against the backdrop of the Gond tribal community and follows her character's journey through conflict, survival and self discovery. The cast also includes Guru Somasundaram, Easwari Rao, Rahul Ravindran, Praveen Dacharam, Tarak Ponnappa, Rao Ramesh and Shatru in important roles.

Produced by Unformula Films, Mysaa marks Rashmika's first full fledged action led role. The film is expected to arrive in cinemas in October 2026, although the makers are yet to announce an official release date. It remains unclear whether the reported injury will affect the production schedules of either project.
