i have last watched the show in the epi where priya-nandu does saas bahu drama over the pills lol, i dont even have much interest now

will try to watch thurs haldi epi n mon epi if i can 😆

my opinion on ram

ram: honestly i really hated how his character started off post the leap, like the gold chain wala casanova image, i still can tolerate his khadoos behaviour but not the casanova thing. i m genuinely glad they showed ram just build this image infront of his friends n all, he never really was a casanova (revealed in epi where he lied to adi he was in farmhouse n also the handcuff part lol) so at least ram still has some (actually most) of his original traits left. still hate his gold chain. ram still is the goofy guy, and the guy who will do anything for his loved ones, however cause of whatever happened 5 years ago he is just acting to be someone he never was. so this aspect i actually liked the way they showed it. he is dumb when it comes to family as always , only uses his mind for business purposes. maybe a technique to use more brain power for money.

i m in minority but i dont quite blame him for trusting nandini over priya in the pill thing. on one hand you have ur ex who cheated on you, got pregnant by someone else, and accidentally killed your sister whom u raised like your own, and on other hand you have your step mom who took care of the family in bad times, got panic attack after the incident and was even ready to accept your expecting wife even when she acidentally killed your sister, not ram, even the sane person will choose nandini here. sadly this is how ram saw priya and nandini as, and this is how reality is sometimes. a person who seems good isnt as good, and who seems bad isnt bad. and typical EK show showed it in a dramatic way. only audience knows nandini created this image of priya infront of ram, ram ko thodi na pata hai. so here i kinda understand why he took nandini’s side.

ram has a good thing that he believes in honesty but he doesnt know whose the honest one lol. he was even ready to doubt the person he loved the most, remember he loved his dad the most but when he was told his dad was part of illegal stuff he believed it so easily till priya cleared it, and now priya if it was 5 years ago same situation nandini-priya fight i m damn sure he would have got some sort of investigation done on this cause that time both were good to him. i m defending ram cause i understand his pov here, but he is still a dumbo n more than that blind. cause he has obvious clues infront of his eyes that pihu is his child but he is been told she isnt. the sad thing is ram trusts his step mom easily but cant trust his dad n ex wife(who almost died while saving his life) once.

ram needs to use some of his brain and open his eyes to see what is happening. he has a big heart. if he used his brain and eyes n even ears he would have been a great husband too.

as for priya:

it’s a pity how character turned into post leap. she turned into meera maa 2.0, those melodramatic monologues and helpless wala thing. the only good thing is she is still independent and doesnt feel the need to take any financial help from anyone not even her sister. and i used to think she would be a strict parent and ram will be the defensive parent, it turned out to be opposite ram is the strict parent and priya’s the defensive parent, even if they both completely go to their OG characters i think it will stay like this. i understand why priya’s possesive about pihu cause pihu’s the only she have.

but i actually like priya’s character when she talks with nandini or vedika. thats the only time i see initial priya in her. i knew initial ram will be back slowly but wasnt sure about priya, i think she will be back too but not with all the traits she will be more mellow down anyway. priya confronts nandini well, and also used nandini techniques on nandini lmao so for that a thumbs up for her.

and her monologue on she is selfish about pihu there was some OG trait seen, not saying initial priya was selfish, here she is not in denial, she knows she is wrong very well. after becoming a wife and then mom she really soften a lot,u can soften in a good way but for priya it wasnt really that she became really fragile and feared losing ram (before shivi death) i felt so bad when i saw the segment where she broke down infront of sara n meera maa when the car plate truth was out, she had to stay strong she couldnt, then shivi’s death happened she was expecting while in jail she became more fragile and just gave up. she should have fought for herself, ram n her child, or at least for herself n her child instead of just giving in to nandini so easily.

she however needs to tell ram soon about pihu’s truth if she really wants ram and pihu’s well being. she messed it big time by lying she cheated on ram with krish, or at least she should have rectified it after she was released from jail. she is trying to rectify her mistake by bringining nandini’s face infront of ram good to see that, but she needs to gain the lost trust from ram first, cause she herself said things that made him lose trust he was still ready to listen

@bold - exactly. I want her to first gain his trust by revealing Pihu’s truth. Post this it won’t be easy for her but once the truth is out, Ram will hopefully start to put things together. Right now tired of his blind devotion towards his family 😵

yep, shivi tried to push priya out of her way, but listening the dialogue, I got more confirmation ki priya is going to be grievously hurt , somehow ram’s family will be involved.

every thing priya did since isn’t just for Ishaan’s protection but also self immolating promises that she made to shivi just before that.

And Ishaan wasn’t supposed to be there… he was just going out to calm himself and shivi provokes him even more. And he is considering her a threat already as shivi threatened the soods while coming out saying that she will not let anyone of them to be happy and gave Akki an ultimatum of moving out.

And then he sees her doing that to his aunt, who he values more than his own mother (at that point, he was hating sara, but is extremely attached to his priya maasi and rk, priya is extremely fond of him, like her own kid too)… it was reactionary defence, like how Pihu cuffed ram 😆

no pre meditation (mens rea) involved, and the act in itself wasn’t supposed to kill her, no caluclated action (actus rea)…but this is legality and I see your point that what he did was wrong too …

P.S: I am not diminishing the loss of a loved one to death accidentally/ otherwise … it can’t be suddenly understood cause it was an accident and people should let go and make peace with it as soon as they know it with or without personal redemption of the culprit.

I still feel there are lot of contradictions shown in Rs character. At a point he trusted and understood P above all... And then this kaand happens and he gives up on her so easily. Understand he is not himself with the grief.... But at some point in the next 5 years... He should have tried to find out about the truth... About Priya.... Meeting her again... Understand his hatred for both Priya and Pihu.... But bringing them in just for a deal.... Where is that powerful businessman? And then so quickly changing back to goofiness around her.... Just don't get it... There is no solidarity in his character. Either he needs to really hate her if he believes her to be cause of his sis death... Or he should have more doubts and try to find about the truth himself... If he still loves her and believes her in some manner. This confused in between character is what I am finding to be very annoying.

I agree with most of the things you said but except one. I don't think Ram is being pure or big hearted but selfish, not in a bad way, but in a good way. Deep down he knows he is missing information but he is not even trying to find! Why?

His relationship/reactions with priya changed after he got to know she is not married, he was good with pihu but became extra caring after he realised she doesn't use krish's name.

He is purposefully not connecting the dots, bcz his guilt and regret might hurt more than shivina's death that he let his child suffer bcz of his insecurities. He very easily believe priya and nandini both.

Him asking for them to stay and accept has nothing to do with big heart and purity but he knows he still loves priya who even after specifically saying loves Krish and pihu is his daughter never married him, doesn't lives with him and pihu doesn't share thame surname with her father.

He knows something else is going on but is willing to live in ignorance as it's supposed bliss.

Ram wants truth, remember that hospital scene it was added for him to start questioning his past. And he will when push comes to shove.

Yesterday his my family is scared of you priya, well it is true they are scared of priya, but he has got the reason wrong.

Ram right now wants his cake and eat it too but doesn't want to make any efforts for anything. He wants everything to go back to normal but he is not doing anything but point fingers on others.

@bold.. how can anyone trust R to understand the whole picture. The way R has been behaving.... Never trusting P wherever it matters.... Blindly supporting his mom... And the same mom threatening to take away the only thing she is living for. I can sympathise with her dilemma. She wants R and Pihu to know the truth above all but she is also scared for her daughter. Despite R saying that no harm will come to Pihu.. she is unable to trust him coz he had failed her as a husband in the past.... Multiple times .. and now to expect his support against his pujya mom .. the practical P can never take that chance.
