In his defense, the comment HAS been blown out of proportion. Social media trolls are having a field day. The more fodder you give to these trolls, the more they will escalate things.

Also, some comments in this thread are equally cringe-inducing as Ranbir's comment. Can we write off someone completely just because of one (yes incredibly tasteless) comment?

Benefit of doubt does exist and I would like to give him one.

The thing is this isn’t just an isolated incident. Him kicking her lengha, stepping on her veil, making jokes while they were somewhere with Ayaan about leaving her there. If this is how he is in front of the cameras one does wonder what happens off of it?

Katrina came out of a relationship wounded with him as did Deepika. There he at least treated them well in front of cameras.

I don't find it that much offensive as he did with Katrina or most recently Vaani Kapoor. But this guy Ranbir Kapoor doesn't have an iota of sense of humor like his father. Whenever he tries to crack joke, he comes as insecure, self absorbed guy

This man just keeps getting worse. He has such an unlikable personality. I am not even surprised at this point. There has been too many signs all these years for any of us to be surprised seeing him behaving like a di*k.

Coming to Alia, I don't feel bad for her. She knew what she was getting into, she knew she deserves better but she still went for it because she wanted the top couple, power couple, number 1 couple tags (which she didn't get because no-one bought their fairytale lovestory but they tried for sure).

I am sure this is not the first time he has been disrespectful towards her, if it can happen on camera it most definitely happens off camera too. I don't think she has that spine to take a stand for her dignity. She's just so immersed in her own delusional world where apparently he's the best boyfriend/husband that she probably doesn't even realise what a pathetic partner she has chosen for herself. Good for her if it works out, but girl knew she won't have it easy with this douchebag but she still went for it. Good luck to her is all I can say.

Also, all her rant to prove how he's the best boyfriend, best husband is more to convince herself than anyone else. Because no-one is buying this theory except her own delusional mind.
