Agreed! Vicky was brilliant in Sardar Udham! He just blew it out the water

Unfortunately I think that's what they're going to do. Vicky's career is on the up and up, Sid's career has otherwise plateau'd. There's a reason why these Bolly folks keep harping on Sid "being recognized as an actor this year"...after a decade in the industry. It's all for the award ceremonies

Why would that make you pissed? A critic’s award is still a Filmfare award. If anything I would say it’s more prestigious because it’s entirely based on talent and not audience votes.

I do think that’s exactly how this is gonna go. Vicky best critic’s award and Sid best popular award.

OK.

This is Filmfare awards. They don’t always go by who had the best performance. A movie’s popularity makes a difference as well and Shershah became very popular. It may not be fair but that’s how they’ve always done it. And Shershah wasn’t just a massively popular movie. It was a very well made film that audiences and critics alike loved. Not to mention all the praise it received from the military. Also due to Veshnu Vardhan a lot of South celebrities praised it as well. Still, it is highly highly unlikely that Vicky will walk out empty handed. And it is also highly unlikely that Sid will walk out empty handed.
