Laal Singh Chaddha showed a jump of 20% on Saturday which was just not good enough as Sataurday would be the day when the high end multiplexes where it is doing its best business would really come into play but it did not really happen for the film.

It was better growth than Raksha Bandhan but that was always going to happen due to markets which Laal Singh Chaddha caters to but the growth needed to be 40-50% instead of the 20% it has got. the stands at around 27.50 crore nett after three days and if the film can improve in mass markets then maybe it has an outside chance of 50 crore nett over its extended five day weekend.

Even if somehow the film gets to 50 crore nett over five days it will just mean some decent response on Saturday and Sunday as the industry expected the film to be at 50 crore nett minimum over the first three days alone which itself were on the higher side as a good initial was unlikely but still the content of the film could have carried it.

The collections are coming with a fair response to the film in Delhi NCR and East Punjab with North India (Delhi / UP and East Punjab) contributing around 40% of the all India business. The response is totally the opposite in the other major sector Maharashtra / Gujarat. The three day numbers for Laal Singh Chaddha are as follows.

Thursday - 11,50,00,000 apprx

Friday - 7,25,00,000 apprx

Saturday - 8,75,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 27,50,00,000 apprx

This is what happens when excessive heroism is feeded to the audience, simpler stories took a backseat since more than a decade. TV channels since 2009 always telecasted south dubbed movies and none of older movies are even shown nowadays.

Such content will never work even in future unless it's entertaining like Dangal or Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Am just taking blockbuster material into picture.

Today I went to watch DC League of Super Pets at PVR with my brother. It was a 9 AM morning show and the first show at the theatre.

Laal Singh Chaddha was also showing on another screen at the same time. The mall was empty. 10-12 people showed up and I was thinking they might've come to watch LSC.😆But nope, they all came to watch the same movie I came to watch.😆

There are some reviews, I really like...and they give me the interest to watch the movie despite my reservation about some of Aamir's acting.

I hope for the movie (and the people involved in the making) that all the good written about the movie makes more people curious to watch it in a theatre...

How do they expect people to come to theatres when even after getting such low openings, they are keeping ticket prices between Rs.250-350 in multiplexes? First the whole negative press around the film and then they expect people to pay Rs.250 to watch a film they are unsure about?

No wonder the theatres are empty. Even I want to go watch the film but no way am I spending so much for a film that has been even panned by the critics.

Very simple..public doesn't even want to give it a chance..good or bad ..they just don't want to see.

Equality is never one sided..and BW has been showing that kind of 'equality' since long..

Even in a game n open adversary is better than a masked one.

Not all South movies r masterpieces..and many of their superstars too r nepo products. Still it succeeds. Problem BW me hai aur BW se hai

No wonder the theatres are empty. Even I want to go watch the film but no way am I spending so much for a film that has been even panned by the critics.
