Well that's stretching it, isn't?

And if you want to stretch that far cz which BW movie has logic, then at least don't do it in a remake of a classic like FG

And again people are boycotting cz they think it's boring and cz of lead's performance

Yeah but the whole thing was they didn't know his identity because he was rescued by Laal and didn't even cross their minds that a soldier would rescue the enemy. And in the movie they show that he tried going back to Pakistan, but Pakistan wouldn't take him back apparently. So he was basically living in a shitty accommodation until Laal came back into his life

Laal Singh Chaddha Box Office Day 2 (Early Trends): After being in the making for almost 3 years, Aamir Khan starrer finally hit the screens on August 11. The makers targeted the long weekend and decided to release the film marking a box office clash with Akshay Kumar-led Raksha Bandhan. Co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan opposite Aamir, the film is helmed by Advait Chauhan and also stars an ensemble cast including Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya. Laal Singh Chaddha marks Naga’s Bollywood debut.

On the other hand, Raksha Bandhan also stars Bhumi Pednekar and is helmed by Aanand L Rai.

Coming back to Laal Singh Chaddha, the film has been receiving a mixed response from critic and the audience. As per the early trends flowing in, the Aamir Khan starrer has seen a little drop on the 2nd day of its release. According to the latest media reports, LSC minted around 7-9 crore* at the box office. With the latest numbers, the film’s total collection stands at 19 crore-21 crore on Day 2. Laal Singh Chaddha opened at 12 crore at the box office. Hmmm, looks like a working day has affected the film’s performance at the box office.

Laal Singh Chaddha may have opened below expectations, but it still managed to make some records at the box office. With its Day 1 earnings, LSC left Samrat Prithviraj and Gangubai Kathiawadi behind and become 3rd highest opener of 2022. Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Akshay Kumar’s Bachchhan Paandey maintain their positions on 1st and 2nd numbers respectively.

Check out the list of top 5 openers below:

1. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2: 14.11 crore

2. Bachchhan Paandey: 13.25 crore

3. Laal Singh Chaddha: 12 crore

4. Samrat Prithviraj: 10.70 crore

5. Gangubai Kathiawadi: 10.50 crore

A while back we reported, that around 1300 shows of Laal Singh Chaddha have been reduced by the cinema owners. Reportedly, due to poor opening Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan’s shows were cancelled.

Coming back, well it will be interesting to see if will it survive the long weekend or will be washed out before that.

Laal Singh Chaddha, Raksha Bandhan Bow Down To #BoycottBollywood Trend? – Here’s HowLaal Singh Chaddha, Raksha Bandhan Bow Down To #BoycottBollywood Trend?(Pic Credit: Poster)

Here’s a shocking piece of news for all the Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan fans. The Bollywood films hit the theatres, yesterday (Aug 11). After a lot of to-and-fros, the makers of Aamir Khan decided to release the film on the long weekend of Raksha Bandhan and Independence marking a huge clash with Akshay Kumar starrer Raksha Bandhan directed by Aanand L Rani. Both the films opened to mixed responses from critics and audiences. However, now here’s a shocking update about the film’s show in the theatres.

For the unversed, Laal Singh Chaddha earned 12 crore while Raksha Bandhan minted 8.20 crore on the first day of their release.

In the shocking turn of events, the latest reports are abuzz that Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan’s shows have been cancelled. Yes, you read that right! According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, more than 1000 shows, of both films, respectively, have been cancelled by cinema owners owing to the dull opening. Hmm, looks like LSC and Raksha Bandhan had bowed down to the boycott trend.

A source close to the tracking agency revealed to Bollywood Hungama, “Both the films were released with around 10,000 shows across the country and neither of them warranted this sort of showcasing. Even on the opening day, the occupancy was as low as 10 to 12 people in maximum shows. Seeing the no-show, the exhibitors decided to reduce the showcasing of both the films on the second day to save up on the overheads and increase occupancy in the limited shows,”

“Neither of the films warranted such a wide release. While Laal Singh Chaddha is a wash out in the mass belts, Raksha Bandhan is facing a no-show in some multiplexes. In-fact, despite the voluntary show reduction, many shows of both films were cancelled on Friday morning due to no audience. It’s a disastrous scenario on the ground,” revealed the source to the portal.

There’s no confirmation on the same, we should wait for makers to make a comment on the same

Did anyone else felt like the last 15 mnts were never ending, especially when he starts crying and get’s into a monologue @ Rupa’s samadhi?

Also like another member was mentioning in another thread, the movie lacks that thrill of watching your protagonist accidentally and unintentionally getting involved in major landmark events of the country. Here our Laal was strictly a spectator and some times not even that because he just keeps going without noticing and there would be some major event happening in the background.

Oh is that why they grumble saying ‘ye kisko uthake like aya’? Which means Mohammad doesn’t volunteer any information on his whereabouts or did he turn into an informer? But then how did he go back so freely when he struggled to do so initially? Did he use his newly earned money to acquire a visa in the underhanded methods to travel back?Honestly it just left me completely confused and dumbfounded because the whole premise was very unconvincing to me.
