That's all your beauty queen knows how to do. Look good, but no acting ability. Aish can't do light roles. Bride and Prejudice, Action Replay, Dhoom 2, and so many other horrid films gave me a migrane. Have you forgotten these trash movies? 🤣

They have polar opposite strengths

the thing Aish shines the most, alia sucks the most- period movies (Kalank / Devdas, JA)

man looks are given so much importance here,none would praise aish to the skies for devdas or JA if look wise she didn't fit in that world.Acting wise aish didn't pull off complex emotions the way alia did in gangubai.

Alia is better actress than many of her seniors. I never liked Aishwarya acting..I always find it OTT.

Depends on the genre and what I’m looking for in a movie. Yes, Alia is a good actress, there’s no doubt about that. However, if I want to enjoy a romantic and passionate film, then I prefer Aishwarya. She has great chemistry with most co-stars, and actually makes you feel like the attraction is real (ie. SRK, Hrithik, Arjun Rampal, Ranbir, Salman). Alia’s romantic movies falls flat for me because I feel like she doesn’t have any real chemistry with her co-stars.

Alia is great in character-oriented films and that’s where she excels. Meanwhile, Aishwarya is great in historical/period and romance genres, which falls in line with movies I prefer watching. In saying that, I’d rather watch Aishwarya Rai onscreen over Alia.

Alia is actually really liked on IF😆so her losing this poll speaks volumes. In “real life” Ash is more iconic and respected…. and Alia isn’t. When Alia’s peak is over, no one will ever remember her work or look back and miss her. Nobody wants to be Alia either, except for bratty nepo girls. But everyone wishes to be an Aishwarya or Madhuri.

Young girls till this day STILL dance on Aishwarya/Madhuri songs and look up to them and want to be like them. It’s not only their dancing, but the aura as well. Aishwarya has done more “iconic” work than Alia. Her films are still relevant today. Whereas I am 100% no one is watching Highway or Raazi anymore… same thing will happen to Gangubai. After a year no one will care.

However films like Mohabbatein,HDDCS, Josh, Devdas, Jodha Akbar, Taal, Dhoom 2, and even her south work like Jeans are still referred to and heavily watched today. People still dance on Kajra Re and Dola Re Dola, is anyone dancing on Alia’s songs? Nope. Literally no one. THIS is also a part of acting. Just flaring your nostrils in teenager roles isn’t enough
