I was getting frustrated with Basit throughout the episode, but I realize this is how Basit is. I didn't like him yelling at Ayesha due to the envelopes. Poor thing was so scared. He literally said that he is giving her salary...really Basit? Even in the teaser, he is questioning why Ayesha has a problem with accepting money (I assume, large amount) from him while she doesn't mind working for a small amount. He really doesn't comprehend that people with less money than him still have dignity and self-respect. I know Ayesha's mom reinforces his thinking. But, he should know Ayesha is not like that.
But then these last scenes just make my heart flutter....they do this with every episode. I am all for slow burn romance. I love watching gradual development in love story. I just can't watch stories where they fall in love at first sight or suddenly. I don't expect overnight change in Basit. I am glad they are showing all aspects of Basit. I can understand him getting awkward with Ayesha buying things for him or serving him. I am ready take this behavior right now as long as I get a good character evolution and development. so bring it on....
I do want Basit to get the unconditional love that he craves. I want him to be able learn to trust people...especially women. I want Ayesha to achieve her dreams. I don't know if they will even explore this in the drama, but once they start opening up to each other, I want Basit to know how she had to give up her dream and support her to complete her education.
I didn't like Basit's mom pressuring Ayesha to not leave her son so that he is not broken. Actually I never understood her story. Basit's parents separated because it was a love less marriage? Did she marry someone else after? Then where is the husband? So Basit's father requested to keep Basit, but she could have still been a part of his life, she could continue to meet him and spend time with him...especially when both parents would see how the abandonment has badly affected him.
