So thoughts on today's episode???
Let me first let out a massive whoopeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh god, this Musaddiq Malek will kill us with this combustive chemistry he has created between our lead couple! Last week the last few minutes left us on cloud number nine. Today's episode toh sent me through the stratosphere! But let us start from the beginning...(spoiler alert)
So, the change that comes over Basit once he learns from Ayesha that she has left the envelopes with her mother was hurtful but once again understandable. He is so used to having things in a certain way, any small pebble in his path can disturb him and he was already quite ruffled after the reception. My heart went out to Ayesha at that moment.
I loved Bano in this episode. I really hope the story has something good in store for her. She is the eldest sister we all want. Ayesha's mother was true to character. Qudsia is truly a short-sighted and foolish woman. She gives me Mrs. Bennett vibes. In her eagerness for money to run the house, she has lost all sense of self-respect. Thank God Bano knocked some sense into her. But Zoya again meddled and disrupted Bano's intentions. The promo promises us that Zoya will get the scolding she deserves. I think Zoya's excesses are a combination of Qudsia and Bobby phupho's attitude towards her. Qudsia's behaviour has taught her that selflessness has no value and punishments have only made her bolder and resistant to anything her elder sisters have tried to teach her. Both Qudsia and Bobby phupo have actually taught her to undermine her sisters. Furthermore, Bobby phupho, in the name of comforting Zoya, has indulged her in her excesses. I want to see how the family punishes Zoya because these cracks should come out in that case.
Basit is in no mood to let his mother bridge the distance with him. In fact, we can see that he really blames Sadia for putting him on the spot and forcing him to get married. His giving money to Ayesha came from a good place I felt but he still doesn't know how to word things and how to handle relationships. There is a way in which we can help someone else without making that person feel any less for receiving help. Let us hope Basit learns that lesson. His words to Ayesha's mom and Bano both came from a place where he understands these people need money but the way he handles it ends up insulting Bano (Qudsia was born with rhino skin).
Ayesha and Sadia's scene together was so wonderful. I was squealing at places. They both opened up to each other and when Ayesha reached out her hand and placed it on Sadia's, that was such a beautiful moment. Later when Sadia tells Ayesha to handle the household now, once again, that was such a heartwarming moment. And later that scene of Ayesha and Kareem was simply the sweetest. Btw a word for our long-suffering Kareem. Hopefully, now things will get a bit easier for him with the new mistress in the house.
Finally, the way Basit is surprised with Ayesha's behaviour after he returns from work. hehehe... His shock and awkwardness again are because he is used to doing things in a certain way and so he tells Ayesha to not do all this. I think he was being quite genuine when he explained it was not because he didn't want Ayesha in his space. And when he enters the room and slowly his face turns to a smile as he watches her!! Oufff!! This was another moment like the one when he returned to office after striking that deal with Ayesha's mother. You can see him look at her and think, this is my wife. Feroze Khan!!! Ouff!!! I am glad I didn't simply spontaneously combust after watching the scene even after going back and watching it again and again.
Oh and Jawaad sir has been allowed to return to the floor. More sleuthing awaits us I hope.
Okay, that is my rambling thoughts after today's episode. Dying to know what everyone else thought and felt.
One last word, Habs is MAGIC.
