Well Akshu has always been the neglected child. Even as she was in the womb of her mother, her parents were more concerned about their foster daughter, child trafficking, etc. After her birth their were busy with kairav who was sulking due to wrong accusation on him, later Naira died and again karthik initially was concerned about kairav health and then got obsessed with Sirat, for whom he neglected his children. After birth of Arohi we can understand how he treated her- she would always call herself as princess and akshara as commoner, and it was never corrected by anyone. Goenkas always turned blind to emotional abuse faced by Akshara till Abhimanyu called them out
