I know SRK/Karan making the gay jokes. But it was more endearing when I was 16/17 than whatever the show does now

The trailer didn’t appeal at all. Are you sure it wasn’t because Bollywood at the time had been taken over by nepotism kids !

No cause in that clip is Srk w two actresses who are connected ( too each other no less lol)

For me it has more to do with the OTT ness. An I suppose the celebrities when I was younger had a sense of decency that is now lost.

What I’m saying is jokes like this were far and few in between. That made it more fun. Now the whole show seems like this. It’s cheesy.

I don’t know! But what made it interesting for me is he invited people with interesting personalities. Lara or Sushmita. Now it is just nepotism kids. They basically all are the same type of people. Sara Ali Khan might be somewhat different or the slightly more intellectual of the lot. But that is about it ! No variety.

I guess celebrities back then just had better personalities. Plus nostalgia. It's an 'Old is gold' situation.

The majority of them brought personality and something of substance to the table. The same reason makes recent episodes such as Anushka-Kat, Bahubali, etc. popular and well accepted by audience.

Additionally, they used to usually invite A-list celebrities or buzzworthy newcomers.

Unfortunately these days , KWK is only hyping these nepo kids irrespective of their market value , few people care about them & most of these star kids lack personality making the show lose its over all appeal .

Moreover, as they mostly rely on Papa Jo, they follow the obvious and uninspiring narrative that he wants to establish for them, which provides for nothing but momentary troll value 😆

Because it was a better show for many reasons

- The guests were better and mostly A listers. And lets face it SRK, BigB, Preity, Priyanka, AB Jr, Saif, etc. have more personality in their tiny finger than these new kids will ever have in their lifetime. Deepika, Ranveer, Ranbir are slightly better but still not at that level

- The combinations were good - stars genuinely comfy with each other. SRK-Kajol-Rani, Preity-Bobby, Emraan-Mahesh, etc.

- The questions were better - good mix of serious vs humorous. Now its just sex life and who would you sleep with and what not. And its all done in the most cringe manner

Stars back the had magnetic aura and genuine bonds amongst each other. Audience werent overexposed to their antics as social media didnt exist.
