Karan didn't repescted Preeta.

He was not together with Preeta .he was going to marry another woman. (Not the first time)

He didn't Trusted his own Brother . Yeah

And he believed that his brother and wife throw her in river (chulu bhar pani).

So just for the sake of argument

the way he hurted his wife who didn't nothing but good for the luthra house.

If she got closer with Rishab want to marry him. They want to get married . Is it wrong that for once she is thinking about her life.

Does Karan has any ethical reason to feel bad and want revenge (not the murder part).

If i remember correctly they were not together yeah right.

So i can not feel any good about this Shakti being Karan instead of Karan he should have been new a Character
