I don’t think Sai being keen to have a kid is out of character. They probably didn’t plan the first time around but Sai always wanted a blood relative ( her convo with aai during Pakhis parents anniversary).
It’s also partially rooted to the fact that Virat and the fam wants it too and it’s the next step in the relationship.
