As you have noted you love joint family because of your first hand experience living in one, which I gather from your post is mostly a happy environment. So, it is natural for you like & choose that environment.

Not everyone is blessed to have an environment like that. Someone expressing their inclination to a nuclear family might have stemmed from their own unpleasant experience in joint family. So, each of those different opinions will be bases on their experience or seeing in close quarters. Different folks, different strokes.

However, here the context is that of a fictional story of Anupama. Who has lived in large family which was shown to have abused and used Anupama like a maid. So, it is hard to relate to her liking for a joint family. Despite all that she went through, she can still choose a joint family setting over nuclear. But that just goes to show that she is someone who does not learn from her mistakes.

AB/BB discuss that Anupama is no meek woman, she is as strong as it gets.

Shah family leaves without eating, and Vanraj heeds a warning to Anuj about the new family - Anupama is crying and sad that they left. Talking to anuj that everyone must be eating milk/bread! (little dramatic)

AB/BB glad to get rid of the 'ajeeb' family.

They both discuss that living in a joint family, Anu wants it all maika and sarural, wants everyone to live together - mahan devi syndrome -

Anuj on the other hand states that he can purchase another bungalow for AB/BB close by but Anu declines that proposition.

BB comes fuming to the room where Adhik/AB are sitting - she complains that the media covered only Anupama at the party, that they are all behind her - AB says she only had her family as guests everyone else was kapadia guest, and she is still fuming that Anupama stole the limelight - fearing that Sara/Adhik will be left behind.

AB goes to say that if BB had good relations with her maika then they would also be there today, this is a dukhti raag for BB it seems, she reminds AB that her brother kicked them out and they don't have any relations.

AB is happy that Anu wants to keep everyone together and move ahead in life - he reminds BB that she was the one who spoilt relations with his parents as well. Ask's AB to not put the 'homebreaker' tab on her head

Anu-Anuj are very good, stop making them our enemy. AB storms out - Adhik/BB talk - that anupama is not stupid, BB ends by saying anu is like my heel, can't avoid and can't deal with it, but she will deal at the right time.

Back at Shah house -Kavya finds the cufflink box - Vanraj says he could not give it to Anuj citing that everything was so expensive even the carpets screamed money. Kavya ensures that Anuj doesn't care about money but rather the sentiment and hopes V is happy for anu/anuj to which he says he is happy for them.

Anuj says it is best to say apart, family don't have to split just live a few houses apart, Anupama is adamant they all stay together, he does not want her to have a bad day ever in this house like in Shah house, due to any taunts and for her to just take it - as he foresees this happening - She assures she has changed, she has him with her and will never relive a single day from her past life in this house - She tells Anuj to not tell anything to AB/BB, says they'll make it work - she is hell-bent on everyone staying together - says it's a process and is ready to climb this mountain but this time she will make her family but not at the expense of her love or respect.

Precap: Pakhi is adamant to live 1/2 the time with her mom! Samar thinks is because of the fact that mom is rich now! Mr. Shah is upset at Pakhi.

As Pooja says concept of joint families in ITV is promoted mainly for purpose of drama and Kaand ... yahan pe bhi the makers are afraid to show Maan as a separate entity away from Shahs cz they think drama brings in TRP , isiliye unnecessary maika sasuraal ...

But as a result we are totally losing connect with Maan and their story , and most importantly can neither relate to either Anu or Anuj , the 2 characters we care most about ... Atleast Anuj talked little bit sense today , but even after 600 episodes Anu’s sapna is “ sasural bhi chahiye aur maika bhi “ ( that too a maika which includes abusive ex husband and MIL ) is quite disappointing and regressive as per me ... I think I saw a clip where she actually says she misses Baa ke taane 😕

Especially since the time Anuj got introduced into her life , she got exposed to a number of other sapne which would have truly helped her move forward in life eg taking her Dance academy to next level , professional goals like actually learning to manage the empire which is hers , even personal goals that relates more to their marriage ... They might be shown later , but I doubt it ..

N currently Anuj’s only role seems to be keeping her happy and fulfilling all her dreams and repeating “ yeh Meri Anu ka hai “ The one rather premature Sapna both of them had together , of adoption , is not being talked about at all !!! 😛

Missing the OG Kapadias-GK and Mukku a lot ... Might have been much better if Anu - Anuj had remained situational gareeb only in their 1 bhk post marriage , this upper class drama and all the add on Kapadias are looking so fake ....

Anu previous was often dismissed with her feelings in Shah house. They constantly rejected her thoughts, ideas and opinions. They made her doubt her own feelings and thoughts, and even her sanity, by manipulating the truth.

New Anu current has made the Shah to accept their responsibility for the consequences of their actions or words and constantly used her as a scapegoat. She gave the most powerful gift to herself is recognizing her self worth. She never wanted to end the relationship, due to her father-daughter ties, the father who gave away the daughter hand as a show of love and support to Anuj. She made it progressive affairs both of them (B&Baa) do the rituals as it meant a lot to her father. Above all of this, her precious children living in the same home, ex-laws and with Bapuji father. You will notice her closeness to Bapuji father and precious children more than the others. She remain calm and set firm boundaries and enforce those boundaries.

I agree Anu has multiple times acknowledged and reminded Mr. Shah about how he suppressed her and gave unfair treatment. But never did he admit that he wronged her so if he hasn't asked for forgiveness, how can she even forgive and take a stand for him? On top of that he insulted Anu and Anuj until a day before their wedding and even manipulated Anuj's sister and separated them.

Anu never made it clear to Baa that Baa hasn't even once treated Anu as human being, yes she complained once to Baa that Baa didnt consider her as a daughter but that's about it! Baa never asked for forgiveness, after bapuji left Baa gave a fake apology to Anupama but that was only to manipulate Anu so she can bring back Bapuji before Mr. Shah comes back. Coz Baa knew her Son wont forgive her. Such loving family. How pathetic of Baa to keep pushing swing when Anu tried to take her blessing. That's the worst Ive seen.

Now about Bapuji, as per law even the bystanders are equally responsible for the crime. Bapuji has been equally responsible for the abuse Anu suffered and in fact worse coz even after divorce he emotionally blackmailed her to stay back. If he loved his "daughter" Anu, will he allow her to live with a cheater husband and his new wife who cheated on her for 9 yrs? I know no father in this world will make his daughter suffer like this.

She can continue being the mother for her adult children, no issue in that but she doesn't need to call her ex husband as her maayke wale. and clearly Shah family is not her Maayka.

Please do not think I am spreading negativity but I am discussing with you as I value your optimistic opinion and enjoy reading your review about the episodes.
