If you make sweeping remarks at people and try to pass them all off as one homogenous group (aka "ABCD's"), then you should be willing to take some of it back in kind. See how you went on the defensive to tell people that your opinion matters? -- yeah, you don't want to push others to that spot with your assumptions.

I did generalize I know that.

Every time there’s a drug discussion, lot of members start, sab log drugs karte hai. What’s the big deal. Decriminalize it. Provide rehabilitation.

Youth of this country is already fcked up over drug abuse, you want that for youth of another country?

What rehabilitation? USA’s population equals to one state population in India. USA can provide rehabilitation. In India, Poor don’t have food to feed their family. khana khane ke paise nai hai, par drugs le lo bhai.
1.35 billion people. Rehabilitation is not possible. Practicality hi nahi hai.

Aur sab log nai karte hai drugs. Sizeable amount of Indian youth haven’t been approached for drugs. Every teen I know in USA has been approached for drugs in their school as young as they were 10 years old. Do you guys want same for India too?

Why are we discussing drugs and making a human argument for it? Say no to drugs.

I have seen some bone chilling episodes of drug addiction in Punjab. One girl killed her own mother. I am against the drug usage and it should not be decriminalized.

And no when I say drugs, I don’t mean marijuana. We don’t know what siddhant did. Going by article, looks like hard drugs.

Also by you, I don’t mean only you.

Anyways — if you got hurt by my ABCD remark then m sorry. Meri Khud ki Beti bhi ABCD hi hai. Dekh lena for all my ABCD taunts, woh badla legi. Karma. Like I hate Kareena Kapoor and that’s her favorite. 😆

Those who are saying decriminalize drugs, have clearly not thought this through.

I have a family member, addicted to drugs, lost his job, lost his friends, spent all his money, took loans

We all relatives paid for his rehab. Still he needs to be watched constantly.

Drugs is bad. I cannot believe people are asking for drugz to be legal. Havent you seen how bad the sitution is in Punjab?

One small correction. At almost 33 crores, USA is the THIRD most populous country after China and India! So it can never be equal to any Indian state. 😆

Btw I'm with you on this - e.g. USA is undergoing a severe opioid crisis. It's a parent's worst nightmare to think their kids would be addicted! We need to double down on crushing this epidemic rather than encouraging drug use.

That the youths of India are any less fcuked up than the youths of America is another myth I don't believe in. Sorry! I have hung out with enough "youths" of India who came here to do their Masters and went back home after finishing ... or flunking out, whichever. I was more scandalized by their lifestyle and they were from India and only here temporarily. Some were doing coke every other day, and were addicted to it -- it was a habit they picked up back home. Whereas some people on this forum start clutching their "sanskaari" pearls the moment a celebrity is arrested for being seen with someone who might or might not have consumed drugs/pot. You can't generalize Indians either -- but people from India should know that already and an "ABCD" like me shouldn't have to spell that one out.

I'll let the rest of the members argue about rehab, etc. cuz I'm not the one who introduced that idea. Even decriminalization is not something I've thought about seriously but if someone makes sense in their posts and I'm sold on their ideas, I hit likes on them, that's all.

Anyways, I also apologize for my posts. Aapko maaf kiya for all the personal attacks, they were totally uncalled for but it's not everyday someone apologizes for their comments here and for that reason alone, I hold no grudges. Oh, do make sure to treat your lil ones with respect cuz I certainly remember what my mother was saying to me all the way back to when I was 3. 😆

Ppl who dont do drugs still rape n r still r violent.

Going on wrong path is a personal choice. After getting good education n knowing difference between right n wrong still these youngsters choose wrong path.

There is shortage of police force n judiciary in india so better resources should be diverted to real victims n not badey baap ki bigdi auladein

Drug abuse is because its in supply. So rather than raiding these parties govt should focus on not drugs entering borders.

Without drugs too such crimes happen. It's about individual not drugs

In addiction ppl r abuser of themselves. But in other crimes ppl face injustice done by others. When u have less resources there should be priority on which victims needs more attention n justice.

Ppl r doing drugs because they r enjoying n they very well know they will get addicted n ruin their life n health. Still they do it.
