Rohit Purohit/Armaan Poddar AT - Eyes That Speak Volumes ❤️❤️ #2
Excellently analysed 👏
In particular, your observation in point 2. You just don't ever get the feeling that she truly get it, or will ever get it. She appreciates it, yes. But, that's about it.
For your memory of Sunny's thread and the DBT :)

PS - I hope you do watch IPK, would love to know what you feel ❤️
I love how u write and love the grasp on shayari . I should have some, considering am from lucknow. But I can certainly appreciate its beauty.
Started watching IPK yesterday. Early days, but the guy's masculinity seems a bit toxic for now? Like most other MLs, seems inspired by the brooding harlequin romance ML which itself is modelled on that utlimate toxic ML & toxic rship - Heathcliff and Cathy fm Wuthering Heights.
AK ka biggest attraction has been his openly feminist outlook - He's a gentle gentleman and they r so rare - forget IRL, even in the mediated context (books, cinema, TV). He's the best a woman can dream of (not the caricature he's been reduced to now).

Thank you for your lovely compliment 😳 You come from a beautiful part of our Desh. There is so much adab in the language there.
In IPK, the difference I feel is the way in which the FL responds. And while the ML may start out feeling the way you've described, you see the change over a period. His equations with his family are very interesting to observe. Also, all the characters have their individuality and spunk. I hope you stay with it!
Any questions and rants you may have, I'm more than happy to chat about it all :)
AK was introduced as someone who was the antithesis of every toxicity and vileness of Vanraj. He was confident in his own skin and had no need to demean anyone to make himself look good. You rooted for him to be the wind beneath Anupama's wings, but sadly not much soaring is happening. They have reduced him to an insipid, watery version of his original self.

Agree. Seen some more of IPKKD. The guy is very understated, classy and hawt. I love that smouldering quality of his passion - eyes, face, body language v subtle. The FL.is gorgeous and a gorgeous actress. And their chemistry OMG - RED HAWWWT!!! Miles ahead of MaAn. Now I find Anupama's OTT sharmaana, confession, valentine night, dance competition proposal etc even more irritating. Very extra. And the so-called cuteness of their romance is extremely annoying as well. Oh well, hum toh GK ke liye aaye the par "kya se kya ho gaya".
A lot of the romance in IPK is very understated and aakhin-hi-aakhon mein, which makes it sexier . Definitely " kuch kuch hota hai". Where are these people now - fantastic actors and drop dead gorgeous both of them.
I'm obviously skipping a lot of the non- hot couple stuff. I just wish there was some more creativity shown in their encounters. She keeps falling and he keeps catching her. But so far, planning to stay the course. I could write volumes on the guy's suave sexiness.

They are a class apart 😍 Everything thing you've written about them is ❤️
Trip, fall, catch could have been their tagline 😆 The characters around them were also interesting in their eccentricities. Agree, the writers relied way too much on the way the two lit up the screen by their mere presence. Eyes like melting pools of liquid chocolate drowned us all!
They've not done anything on screen together since :( Lots of off screen stuff you get to see as they're good friends still.

i already responded, but just in case 🌚

I'll take that as a No then? 😆
If you are referring to duppatta udao, accidental falls on each other, pinning to the wall romance etc. Then no, maan doesn't have that kind of chemistry but they have what it should suits on middle age couple. Though i would prefer a little more on the side of physical intimacy like more hugs, hand holding kind of romance or even intense dialogues like we got in the episode after mukku's entry. But still maan are good. As a couple they look believable and their love story in itself is legendary.
In short, i would say yes they leave impression as a memorable itv couple but i would not use words like soul searing/passionate/ forever wala fav itv couple for them.

One of my favourite sonnets says what Anuj feels for her, which I feel would hold true at all stages of life :)
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of being and ideal grace.
- Elizabeth Barrett Browning
