I've no clue about bhool bhulaiya and its story. I do like the first one though. The only film of Karthik I watched is Lukka Chuppi. It was ok.

agree I too wanted to state the same, ayan had an idea and may have changed it, it happens but complete pivots due to market pressure is because kjo meddled and changed it once he started getting into all these pan india stuff

If that’s the case then the original product wasn’t solid enough on its own. KJo would never have messed around with a good product just for pan India appeal. He would start another pan Indian project.

Quick point on Alia and Kalank, I think Alia had her own ambitions of becoming another multi genre actress who could carry any movie. She’s the one who called KJo and Varman and told them she would be very upset with they don’t cast her.

original was a great script which came from malyalam

this may be very average or below which is what I guage from the reviews and I amy not even watch it but atleast they are not claiming it is the greatest gift to cinema and will change films

this is tricky, who judges that, I thiink good or bad once you bring a director on board you let them run the show and take the final call otherwise too many cooks .....

karan's chaap shows in all his productions and his achilles heel is the very clique he promotes, he may want to make a pan india film but he wants to do it with his clique

about kalank I didnt know this but again shows, any sensible producer would have cast according to the role and not succumbed

Wait for the trailer at least. It's coming out in a week on 15th. You are in for a big and pleasant surprise. Brahmastra is going to be a pathbreaker for Bollywood.

Ayan rewrote the entire film back when KJo took the dates for ADHM. That's when it went from Dragon to Brahmastra. The character was always supposed to have powers related to fire. They changed the entire set up to Indian in wake of Bhansali and Rajamouli. That I think was KJo intercepting.

But I think Ranbir might have a big chunk of the blame. Somehow consistently all his films go through massive reshoots. Entire plot lines change. I think Jagga Jasoos was being written as they went along. Even Bombay velvet was a bizarre concoction of all gangster films they could find.

agree and good point and the only time he did not seem to meddle was when the director was much bigger i.e. hirani

most stars start meddling when they become huge names and have several mega blockbusters behind them not at the start

This will be Bombay Velvet 2 for Ranbir. Ayan is not suitable for such kind of projects. Rajamouli would have done wonders. This will be epic disaster

I do agree ever since the project was announced, the projection of the film kept changing based on the current trend that time

First it’s avatar with superior vfx, then it’s baahubali with influences of Indian mythology, then it’s a multiverse like marvel, then it’s a romance of “love and light” and kesariyaaaa when ranbir and aloo were getting married

Are u making this film to push boundaries with vfx work?
Or to emulate the box office success of baahubali?

Or build a franchise/ universe?
Or bring together ranbir and aliaa so they can date under kjos supervision ?

Or to show off ur pro Hindu and respect Hindu culture?
