Chapter 1: A promise impossible to keep
Anubav was onhis way home, thinking about Gungun and their situation. He was wondering what to do. Obstacle after obstacle was being thrown in front of him and it was only making him more irritated...
And then to see Ronnie putting his hand on the one who holds my heart in his hands, only makes me angrier and angrier. What to do?
Everyone is against us, but that's life, we have to fight to get what we want. But what to do Gungun doesn't seem to decide to do the right thing! Should I make the right decision for us?
But what about his family... He had just parked his motor bike when he noticed a car that looked out of place on their street.
The voice was the first thing he heard before he sighed.
Again? Dr.Maya? Another enemy and this time only to take her back with her?
He didn't have time to say a word before he was attacked.
He half-listened, but only one thing held his attention - and it had been for the last few days - Gungun's name.
He was being asked to do the impossible. But what could he do? He wouldn't dare promise something he couldn't keep...
He took a deep breath, looked at his family members and stopped at BP...
"Until today I have always done the right thing for this family, even if it means marrying a woman my heart rejects, but today you ask me to step aside to please a stranger?"
His gaze fellon his uncle, his uncle had tears in his eyes, but he saw the support he needed and the other two were at his back, that was more than enough.
"Why promise something I'm not likely to keep? And when Akriti is the daughter-in-law of this family? Should I dance to her wishes? I will remain Anubav, the son of this family and I will not change for a few tears."
He had enough of this situation, he wants to shout that Akriti is just a thorn in his side and that the one his heart and soul have chosen as his wife needs him, as he needs her.
But who will listen to him? And above all, who will accept her? Since his cursed marriage, they seem to have only one name in their mouths... Akriti... He gave her a nevil look and then saw BP decomposing, this one wanted to retort something, but he did not have the strength for their drama, day after day. He headed towards the stairs when his mother grabbed his arm.
"Anubav?"
"Maa, not today, I am tired. All day it's the same thing since this marriage. To think that my existence, no longer hesitates in your eyes, but the happiness of your daughter-in-law is what matters most to you."
His mother shook her head and wanted to answer him, but he gently with drew his hand and went up the stairs.
One thing's for sure, if Gungun thinks that telling the truth is hurting his loved ones, he's the one who'll end up hurt... Because no one seems to notice that he's getting deeper and deeper into a hole!
