Wasn’t Samar mentally challenged? Laal Singh is also mentally challenged. That is mentioned in the trailer itself. So doesn’t it make sense that there are similarities in the way Aamir portrays them?

Thats like saying SRK portraying a character named Raj in 2 different films is fine since their both named Raj. Or Akshay Kumar is same in all his comedy movies

Theres a feeling it comes off repetitive.

The music and background music are great and so are the visuals. Looks like the story and direction are good

Kareena looks great and she shines.

Mona leaves a mark, even Chaitanya looks good

The bad part of the trailer is actually Aamir Khan , not even a patch on Tom Hanks and there were moments where it was absolutely cringe.

Compare it to the boy who plays Aamir as a kid who was just so cute and played it brilliantly.

Dhoom3, TOH and now this, Aamir should stick to direction and producing

Kareena Mona overshadowed Aamir. Looks like a boring movie

Im sorry but your analogy doesn’t make sense. Being mentally challenged directly affects your behavior and mannerism. Being named Raj does not.

If people want to argue that Aamir’s portrayal of a mentally challenged person is not good enough then that’s different. That becomes a matter of personal opinion and taste and perception. The argument isn’t even that he’s being repetitive in the type of characters he’s playing. People’s gripe here is that he’s doing a bad job with LSC/Forest Gump because his character is the same as that of another mentally challenged character he’s portrayed in the past. I see a very clear distinction in the arguments here.
