Issi kite se kangana aur Hiritk ke pech lade the .
I am in a very tiny minority of people who really enjoyed this movie. I am scared to admit this, but what the hell,
Oh, and I absolutely hated the soundtrack, which is so weird because it looks like the opposite of everyone else's opinion, and I love most soundtracks and things in general, so confusing... I actually cannot remember how any of the songs go or their titles - apart from that dance piece which was impressive
Of course I see the many many flaws in the film, but for me, the good parts of the film are so great that they tip the balance significantly.
The whole Kangana Ranaut part of the film is very bad, it's not because I strongly detest her right now, but at the time I was a big fan and even she said herself she doesn't know what she was doing in that film. Anurag was confused about who her character actually was and that came through on screen.
Barbari Mori was a revelation, a brilliant and beautiful actress, her emotions (unlike many actors from outside India who act in Hindi films) really translated perfectly here. I thought she was going to win all the Best Debut awards but I think they all didn't even bother nominating her... đđź (Sonakshi won that year, can't argue with that decision, she sure deserved it, but performance-wise I think Babs was slightly more special).
Agree with mintyblue her chemistry with Hrithik Roshan was straight up fire, a huge part of what worked for me. You really felt their passion for each other.
My absolute favourite part is of course the ending, I had to go back to the cinema to watch it on the big screen for a second time mainly for this part..
I thought it was the best performance of his career at that point. I need to watch it again as it's been years but I still hold it very high.

Maybe I liked it more than other people too because I had a somewhat personal connection... I was dating a boy who was half Mexican at the time I believe our fist date was at the end of April, and the film released on 21st May 2010... (I watched it first time with my sister, then took the boy for the second watch, he liked it too and recommended it to his mom in LA, and she was like "oh an Indian movie, yeah sure sweetie").
...so yeah the Desi-Mexican forbidden love was resonating with and exciting my gay ass a little bit.
