Oh Lord, I was away from the forum for one day, and the whole Abhi vs Akshu thing is again descended onto our forum 😳

I think Akshu was fine to have done what she wanted as she obviously does not know how deep the wounds between Harsh-Manjari-Abhi go. It was completely in character for her.

Abhi being completely respectful of her, and silently walking off with his mother was another highlight - he did not make a big scene and most importantly, did not demean Akshu or her efforts in front of everyone.

However much I try to understand why she went for her pagphere - mostly because things were already at their worst, and they needed space to work out their respective guilt and trauma - I do not condone her going away from BH at that moment.

Giving space and time to your partner is very very important, but so is knowing when to hold on and not let go. Knowing how hurt Abhi was, how triggered he was, and having been unknowingly responsible for it, she should have stayed back. Maybe he would have lashed out, maybe he would have explained his past, maybe he wouldn't have done anything and ignored her - but she needed to stay back to see his reaction. To empathise with her husband, whose past she, however innocent her thought might have been, brought to the forefront.

I don't want Abhi to be the one who feels guilty for having ignored her/been pissed at her, simply because he clearly told her to back off - he might not have explained the reason completely - but he gave her a simple request and seeing as to how it is his trauma, I feel as though he is inclined to feel angry/annoyed. I don't want her fainting or crying or guilt to overshadow his own feelings atm. It trivialises his trauma and that is not done. We did not get a proper conclusion to the Akshu-Aaru toxicity, but H-M-A toxicity should at least take a logical track.

Akshu has never considered Aarohi's constant taunts and blackmailing as emotional abuse or gaslighting. But considering the fact that she is a Psychology Major, I hope she tries to understand the depth of Abhi/Manju's issues - because although she wanted to plan a party to make them happy, life is much more complicated for them - and understand them before she does anything further. I really really want her to see herself in Manju, and how she and Manju, both have been victims of constant emotional abuse all these years.

Also, so freaking annoyed with Kairav. I have been saying it on this thread for three days now - he needs to tone down his Lakshman avatar because it seems so hypocritical. The same sister he kept way for three years, asked her to go away again for Aarohi, never stood up for her as an adult - he has the notion that Abhi is the one who needs to understand Akshu?
