Chapter 5

Next day

Wedding rituals are in full swing everyone is enjoying it except for two souls.
Their heart is bleeding and with each passing day, the pain is intensifying. They wish there was some medicine for their heartache too, but unfortunately, they don't have any people say time heals everything, but it's increasing with each passing moment.

Birthdays are not special for everyone sometimes people want to skip that single day when they become part of this world.
It's a special day for Akshara her birthday which used to be a grand affair for Goenkas till she was 12.
Today is the same day and everyone is enjoying it but not because it's her birthday but because Mehendi of her younger sister...she is getting married to the love of HER life.

Everyone was so busy that no one remembered it was her 27th Birthday and she is home after staying away for 6 years but anyways she is not complaining because now she is used to celebrating or rather say spending that day alone in bed drowning herself in memories of her parents and re-watching her special birthday messages from her parents and Sirat Maa. She was okay that no one remembered because its

Aarohi's special day and she didn't want to steal the limelight from her on her special day.

In Aarohi's room, she is in a dilemma her heart and mind are conflicted... What to do? Does she really love him? What if she breaks off the alliance? Will it bring shame to the family?
She felt suffocated... The realization was beautiful yet painful because there was fear of losing things.

Birla's except Neil reached Goenka for the Mehendi ceremony

Aarohi hesitantly enquired about Neil “Is he alright?”
Abhi could see the helplessness in her eyes. He knew what he has to do, “Dr. Aarohi ready for Mehendi?”
She awkwardly replied “Yeah”
He called Manjiri and said “Maa apki Bahu ko mehendi lagaiye pehle... dulhan ko zyada time lagta hai”
Manjiri didn't understand what he was trying to say but she hmmed in response
Manjiri did shagun and then Mehendi girls started covering her hands with henna.
Abhi said, “Dulhan ki Behen gayab hai is she okay?”
Mimi said “Akshu ko Mehendi se allergy hai isliye woh room main araam kar rahi hai”

One of the Mehendi girls asked “Dulhe ka Naam bataiye”
Before anyone could say anything Abhi said “ NEIL”

She said okay and wrote Neil on Aarohi’s hand.

Both families were shocked and confused but they didn't want to react in front of everyone so they all waited for the guests to leave.

After half an hour
Manjiri questioned “Abhi yeh kya kiya tune…Mehendi par Neil ka naam kyu??
Tujhe shadi nahi karni?”
Manish also agitatedly asked him “Hmn Abhimanyu yeh Kaisa Mazak hai?”
Abhi calmly replied “Mazak nahi kar raha hun Sir…Galat hone se rok raha hai”
Harsh frustatedly said “ Kya galat hona tha??…Tumhari shadi Dr. Aarohi se fix hui thi Neil ki nahi”
Abhimanyu was losing his calm seeing Harsh behaving rudely “Aap baat sun lijiye Pehle meri Sir.”
Mahima encouraged Abhimanyu to speak “Hnn Abhi batao kyu Kiya aysa tumne”
Abhimanyu said in a loud and clear voice, "Neil ko Aarohi pasand hai..”
Manjiri was shocked to hear this “kya? ...Usne kab Kaha yeh?”
Abhimanyu tried explaining to Manjiri “Maa har cheez keh nahi sakte na... kabhi kabhi hume khud bhi samjhna padhta hai
Hum yeh dekh hi nahi paye ki Aarohi sirf best friend thi uske liye ya Kuch zyada”

Meanwhile, Aarohi was about to cry listening to this

Manish said “Neil pasand karta hai thik hai lekin Aarohi kya chahti hai woh bhi zarori hai"
Abhimanyu replied “Usne chup chaap naam likhwa liya aap abhi bhi janna chahte hain ki woh kya chahti hai?”
Swarna questioned Aarohi “Aaru Tujhe Neil pasand hai?”
