Char Anupama was depicted to be naive, as someone who was taken for granted, as a victim of abuse which she had assumed was the way of life. For these reasons, I willed for her to make the necessary change and move on, despite the reasons that brought to that point. If she was truly bolder than what she was shown to be on day 1, she should have turned the tables around on the abusers. Show them what she & others like her are capable of to the world.

However, it is a great let down to see her do nothing. Instead she is back to where she started, only with a little more voice that is used rarely in unnecessary situations. This is a huge let down for me.

Love stories with evil vamps, unrealistic over sacrificing FLs etc are dime a dozen, who needs another one?!

True, the stories like that of movie bhaghban and saas bahu, paarivarik movies of 80's were huge hit at that time because when the oppressed character got transformation they finally showed the mirror to the so called family members and never forgave them. The feeling of seeing finally justice served and oppressed becoming this badass confident character while oppressors getting much awaited punishment and karma coming back to haunt them....this whole thing is what makes a movie hit.

Anupama lacks this, here naive anupama never become empowered, villains never got their due punishment.
