Imlie didnt have anything fancy to wear nor she wanted to wear anything fancy. She rather not have attention, there were some still visible

marks on her body especially her neck area. She is just going as Kajal begged her to come and she didnt want to break her heart.

She wore a simple floral salwar kamiz that was the best one she had and the expensive one ,atleast for her. When she reached there, there was music playing and she could hear people shouting and cheering. She walked in, there were people already on floor , they made it dance floor it seems with disco lights at top. She felt out of place, she stayed at the back. She kept the gift on the table where other gifts were. Her gift was inexpensive too, she had bought a bracelet charm for her from nearby local market.

She sighed and then Aryan eyes met Imlie, he was holding kajal in dance stance, just then a song played :

“Chupana bhi nahi aata

Jatana bhi nai aata

Bataana bhi nai aata”

Aryan thought what cruel song to play right now, as he moved forward and kajal moved backward. She insisted for a dance a last thing she would ask tonight she had said. A lady came next to her and then looked at her weirdly looking at her clothes, “Excuse me , udhar pani gir gaya hai, Saaf kardo na” Imlie looked confused, and then lady said , “Oh so sorry i thought you were maid” and she left hurriedly from there. While the song continued:

The song ended as everybody clapped. As the group got busy with dinner, Kajal saw Imlie and came towards her giving her hug “Thank you for coming” Just then couple of friends came to her.

“Happy birthday Kajal” Imlie said smiling.

“That was such a sexy dance with that sexy man of yours” a tall girl said to Kajal who laughed.

“Oh sorry this is Imlie” kajal said introducing her to her friends. Imlie smiled. “Oh poor baby” giving her hug “We heard, so sorry “ the tone they were using sounded more like a mock. And she told them? As if she was some kind of news to them? She started to panic and feel uncomfortable, she walked out of the party.

She could hear those girls in her mind, she blocked her ears just then somebody grabbed her. She turned staring at the person interrupting her thoughts. “Imlie , are you ok?” Aryan asked

“Yes” taking his hand releasing his hold from hers.

“Bye Aryan. Humara acha mazak udh gaya hai aaj please hume aur kuch nai suna please” she joined her hands.

“Kya hua hai bataogi “ he took hold of her again, staring at her eyes intensely.

“Leave me please. Kajal ka bday” she ran from there. She got rickshaw and went home. She has to move from here as well she doesnt want any obligation anymore. She will pay rent one month advance also.

The bell rang, she went and saw through peep hole, it was Aryan. She knew it was going to be long night.

She opened the door and went inside her room starting to pack her bags early. He came and saw what she was doing , “Where are you going?”

“I am going to leave this apartment cannot stay here more” she said sternly. Aryan knew where this was coming from but he didnt press further.

“Imlie .. i really really” she turned around

“Stop! Dont say it bus dont say it! I am not ready to hear na kabhi hogi. What you feel is just empathy nothing else. You are forgetting the reality, I am raped!! Noch liya mujhe! Even if we move forward, just like any women or men have needs, i might not able to fulfill them because frankly am still traumatized. Secondly, our classes are different look at me! I have notning . Just leave me alone pleae . You know I still get nightmares!! I scream and struggle in sleep that is reality, sun paoge? Reh paoge ? Am not worth it! He was stunned of what she just said. He left quietly without a word , he will be back , he has a key.

Imlie was in jungle, the two men this time their face covered approached her, she ran but the grabbed her and pushed her to the ground tearing her clothes. “Stop it please dont DONT!! Noooo ! AAAAHHHHH! maaaaa!” She was writhing on bed, crying reliving the again and again and again since that awful day.

“Chodo mujhe please” her legs were kicking, she was sweating, and she scratched herseld. “Please chodo.. aaahhhb! Maaa! Maaa please maaa!!!!! “ suddenly a whisper came in her earss.

Comes and hit you, you get up scolding and shooing them away” Aryan was next to her on her bed, hugging her and whispering. He hold her hands from scratching herself. She started to calm down, her tears stopped and smile cret on her face. She was enjoying the beach, suddenly a hand tapped on her shoulder , she turned smiling it was Aryan. She gasped and opened her eyes realising what just happen. She was in tight hold, but this hold brought her warmth and security. She turned her head, Aryan was looking at her with love, “You asked me how will stay with you how will i deal with everything , this is exactly how Imlie everyday if i have to” then he kissed her cheeks. He caressed her forehead and whispered “Sleep” patting her forehead “sssh” Imlie closed her eyes and went into peaceful sleep.
