I agree. In joint family I feel there is no privacy and there is power struggle as well. I know someone who lives in joint family with 3 brothers living together with their children. So they only have one kitchen. So fight happens who buys grocery so money. Like one is spending more other less. Then who make food. And if one cooks and other family does not like then its a problem. If u only cook for urself then its a problem.

U know poor girl is so fed up. She is newly married to youngest son. 
on top of that she had lived in nuclear family before. So totally unexpected for her to deal with this.

 U know i want to add one ritual to marriage ceremony. Kanyadaan k jese var-daan b hona chahiye. Parents give up all their rights on their child because now he belongs to wife just as girls k parents k karte he! 😛
