Why Chipkali and Chamgadar? Why not something else. Ever since Neil and Aarohi have called each other Chipkali and Chamgadar, I have always wondered, Why? Was it just a random decision or some thought process. So I read about these two animals as spirit animals.

For Kaira I feel they had been pretty spot on.

One of the symbolisms of a Frog (Mendak) is transformation or metamorphosis. Which I think suited Kartik. At first he had wanted nothing to do with his father and then he reached a point where he took care of his father like a father. From not even thinking of his father second wife as his step mom in his his worst nightmare to leaving the girl he loved for her. I have always felt that Kartik had grown as a character with every track. There was a point in his life where his son didn't want him in his life to those 6 months where the only thing his son had was him and Kairav was content.

There is actually different symbolisms connected to lion and lioness. Though Naira is called Sherni I feel both are connected to her. Lion is a sign of leadership and everyone is not always happy to follow the lions lead. Which I feel was true between Naira and the Goenkas. Things were done differently at the Singhanias and Maheshwaris and Naira always wished for that (what was to her family freindly atmsophere) at the Goenkas as well. One symbolism of the lioness (Sherni) is women supporting women. This was seen in her support for many of the female characters in the show.

This is just a rough summary for Kaira. If I sit to write in detail it will become an essay, a long one. Plus, I want this post to focus on Neil and Aarohi.

Lizards (Chipkali) have many symbolisms depending on the culture but the most common ones are regeneration and renewal. I strongly felt this talked about Aarohi growing as a character. Things will happen in her life that will hurt her but she will bounce back. Look at the current track itself Aaorhi went from having and infatuation with Dr. Abhimanyu Birla to not caring about him. She is not the one to run behind, she in not the one to stay on the ground. That is why Aarohi is a Chipkali.

Bats (Chamgadar) also have many symbolisms. The one that I feel is most akin to Neil is that having a bat as your animal indicates that you are highly sensitive and extremely aware of your surroundings. Which I do think goes well for Neil. He is definetly extremely sensitive about the people he makes a connection with. The way he had tried to not make Akshara feel left out during Abhimanyu and Aarohi's wedding. The way he kept on opposing Abhimanyu's decsion because he knew well what was happening wasn't right.

According to Neil both Chipkali and Chamgadar are chipku. So, I hope ek baar yeh dono ek dusre se chipak jaye yeh alag na ho. I don't know if their pairing has been officially confirmed but I strongly feel those two will be paired together. There are several reasons for that which I am not going to state because I would go off topic.

While all the animals do have various symbolism. I chose the ones that linked to the character and were general rather than connected to specific culture.

I don't think the writers connect with symbolism, atleast the ex dialogue writer would not have done so.
