I’m extremely sorry for the rant and long post but couldn’t resist. Read at your own risk
I am absolutely annoyed today. First toh the whole thing about prequel. It was absolutely unnecessary and did not do anything that would change anyone’s opinion about any character. The amount of justification done by vanraj falls flat to next level. I mean does he realise how silly his interviews sound? Who in sane mind will sympathise with him? He is and will be an abuser and manipulator. Not only Anu but also kavya and Mukku. Not even going into the triggering bits from the prequel here.
And this is not it. We still have Anu who is shown to look at the name plate oh so lovingly. I mean like what???? Ok I get that she couldn’t leave 17 years back but that didn’t mean that she had to love him? And baa. She knew what this lady did right 17 years ago and yet she is hell bent with the whole maa nonsense? You have to be insane to next level to think mothers are like this. Is she like this to her kids? Has she seen dolly be like this?
They are clearly trying to show Stockholm syndrome but in a horrible way. We’ve known this for over 500 episodes. This did not need a prequel. Chalo even if they did, why aren’t they showing her moving from it? It isn’t easy yes but trying isn’t difficult no? Especially when everyone is on her side and she now has someone who loves her more than anyone else in this world. So what is the issue here?
Ok moving on, the insane level of obsession since Vanika track derailed Is getting unbearable with each episode. Like the above described qualities were not involved, they added creepiness to it too. Wow at the makers for this.
The date night was probably always a part of the plan (unpopular opinion maybe) but why was it totally disconnected? All it needed was another 5 mins to establish a connect with the college date. They return to SH in the morning clothes. Sorry what just happened there? 5 mins more of maan wouldn’t have hurt hero’s ego so much but it def made the audience all the more salty!!
Lastly on the prequel, the last episode made zero sense because it was illogical in terms of getting AK and Kavya. The math doesn’t work. To me it looks like they simply wanted to keep the track open for S2. And ofcourse if Anuj got ss for 3 mins, hero had to do sifarish to show kavya madam too.
On this show friendship with rajju uncle and his favs hold more value than the plot and track.
Horrible that this is coming from an all women writing and creative team. To say the least. Even my namesake’s shows were so much better when it came to drama. Atleast they weren’t this bad and crass in the name of moral science gyaaan. That drama was OTT but expected from k serials and itv standards. This is remotely close. Maybe closer to illogical and BS.
I’m sorry but if they don’t buckle up and fix this crazy amount of raita that has been spilt, then no amount of maan can save this ship. Dead end is round the corner with the signs of detours quickly fading away!!!!
