I'm sure he's an amazing person, but I'm also pretty sure it's standard practice for all actors who work together, no more touch than the scene demands, otherwise it gets uncomfortable for both actors na, not just her.

In the last episode of prequel anupama just appears as dead from inside like she lost all hopes, reason to live, scared of dreaming again. Just like it happens with the patients of schizophrenia or multiple personality disorder that when pain becomes too much to bear then mind creats alternate reality as defence mechanism. More or less same thing happened with anupama. Her heart broke and she shut her eyes, denying to face harsh, terrifying reality. She created her alternate reality that everything was perfect in her household. She has best husband and in laws until trashraj himself shook her out of the misery by stooping even lower with kavya affair and all that and anupama was forced to face the truth...this also explains her mental breakdown after learning about his affair.

It would’ve been nice for the makers to show this link in the run up to the maan shaadi. Instead of the monologue and then flipping for maa baa jaap, they could’ve addressed this point and not her being hell bent in getting her aashirwad. Infact even Babuji ka zidd of SH se shaadi

Even Chalo for a second maana ki prequel ki shooting was much later, toh run up to sagai mein dikhaate. But instead they gave AK the dialogue of I love you baa and getting him to hug her. So there a major disconnect and further ruining of the story and charac

She even to date calls him Accha everything after being shown the mirror.

It is getting difficult to relate to any of them anymore. The whole idea of prequel has worked against them and now if they go ahead and redeem baa because of Babuji, people are going to continue calling them out. Not even going to go to vannu’s charac and the whole sympathising bit.

I watched the clip of AK visiting from the last episode.

This is what I gathered, the story is set 17yrs ago, means he knows he has lost his chance with Anu for a good 10yrs, knows she is married, but just went to meet/see her.

He has come to see her knowing that she is married, perhaps has kids in her 10 yrs of marriage. Knows that she is not going to be visiting US. He gets a glimpse of her smiling with her children. Feels sad, sheds tears, and leaves without meeting her. I dont understand why is he sad suddenly?

Sad because, she can never be his? What was he expecting?

Now, we are looking at his story from hindsight and know she is going to marry him. But at that point, why is he sad? Was he expecting something else?

I guess the prequel has left me with more questions and holes than helping close them.

Just because I like the actor, I couldnt feel sad seeing his tears, because the anguish in the story may not be justified. Happy to hear a good reasoning for this.

From what I saw and felt was that he was sad because he saw her happy in her own life. Sad because she wasn’t with him. Sad with what could have been had she been with her. And probably that’s why he didn’t go in to greet her. I don’t think he was expecting her to be sad or anything. Not a good explanation or reasoning probably. Not justifying or anything either

The prequel has left a lot of questions. Not many from his charac but generally. The whole thing of Anu and her relationship with the toxic duo and the whole facade of victim playing. And this inclusion of both Anuj and kavya made zero sense. Nothing adds up and has only led to ruining the current story and plot further

I ranted separately on this 😭 (didn’t tag anyone Cus a lonnnnng rant 😂)

Anuj knew she has moved on and has kids but still when he saw the love of his life in front of him and her family, sindoor, children reminds him that she can't be his ever...i think those tears were for his lost love

Haan but you can respect a person that you call by name also na. See Samar, he calls him Anuj but he has always supported and respected him.

It is a matter of respect, esp for the family who screams tameez, izzat, maryada, sanskar at the drop of a hat.

Come to think of it, a lot of times the youngsters even go on a limb and hurl insults, while the mahaan Anupama snickers. Ex: Rakhi gets told by everyone in the house. So does Kavya.

Can't she correct them?
