Why have there been no out and out female superstar after Madhuri?

Madhuri was superstar bigger than Khans,Anil Kapoor and Govinda in 90's. She got hefty fees for her films more than her costars and had blockbusters.

Why BW has not seen an out and out female superstar,a BO money spinner after Madhuri?

Srideviji was the first female superstar n this madz used to jealous of her.

There have been quite a few with a better success ratio than her.

Women are inter changeable for the most part 😆

@ Bold: name one movie..if you are talking about HAHK, salman was a huge star even then..he was a craze right after MPK..madz may be bigger star but she did not hand him a BB for sure..

There definitely were female superstars after Madhuri. Why was Madhuri successful? Well, she had the entire package. She was a pretty, average actress, and a good dancer. She added glamour to films, which unfortunately was common back in the 90s and she did decent justice to the character. Yes, I am going to say this she came at a time where nepotism wasn't as prominent. Yes there were many more nepotism products working in the 90s but if there first few attempts failed they were done and dusted. An example would be Twinkle. Karishma struggled a lot.

Many were prettier but they weren't as great dancers. Many like Manisha Koirala and Tabu were far better actresses they didn't have the other two qualities. Menakshi Seshadri many would argue was taller, slimmer prettier than Madhuri and a great dancer. But her acting skills were even inferior to Madhuri's. Madhuri started off playing second fiddle to her then surpassed her.

I don't know if the sleeping around rumors were true. Nor am I going to judge without knowing. I analyzed it based on what I knew.

Because there have been no women with the same box office pull as her.

For those who're claiming HAHK was a Salman film as well... as someone who was around at the time, it was a Madhuri film people went to see.

That silly movie called Raja succeeded because of Madhuri. Hero was Sanjay Kapoor of all people! Could've been a monkey, and it would've still succeeded.

What did she have that others didn't? She looked good, had a sexy figure, was a good dancer, could act reasonably, and got along with her costars for the most part. Then there was the intangible something called screen presence. After Sridevi, only Madhuri had it among women. No matter who else was on screen, Salman, SRK, Aamir, AB, Anil, eyes would invariably go to these women.
