Arpita- Aryan are very close to each other. So, he doesn't think that she would hesitate to share with him if she is not ready for this rishta.

Regarding Sundar, Aryan is not being classist at all. He didnt disrespect Sundar. He is just ensuring well being of his sister which is not wrong. That thing aside, Aryan believes though Imlie wish well for Arpita, her priority is Sundar.. n he told her also too n he doesn't have any reason ti beilieve otherwise. From the day the alliance has come, He saw how Imlie is insisting on Sundar. As someone mentioned earlier it's not tht Aryan doesn't trust Imlie. On the contrary, he very well knows Imlie is capable of Imliepanti once she decides upon something . He saw that phone call made to Sundar n in function too he noticed what trick she was playing.

So for me he is neither butchered nor out of character.

There is so much here to discuss but I'll stick to just one point:

Would Sunder and Arpita realistically survive the hardships of the kind of life Sunder can afford? Arpita isn't working- she could possibly start and contribute to the running of a household, yes. They are also older than Aryan and Imlie - and you get less flexible with changes as you age. Which means Arpita will likely have more problems adjusting to suddenly not having access to things she's taken for granted and Sunder will eventually start feeling like he isn't able to keep her happy (even if Arpita isn't the type to complain).

How would a couple then survive these differences?

Aryan and Imlie had a majority of their interactions during work. Imlie (despite her jhadoo episode) has always shown an inclination towards education and career. Her capacity for family and her (supposed) drive to succeed are the assets she brings to Aryans' life because he has no need for her to bring money (he has that already).

We can say that Arpita could bring the money aspect to her relationship, and yes, she sure can. But would Sunder accept it? Would it go against his self respect?

The way I see it, any sane brother would have these questions when it comes to the life of his sister who is used to comforts already.

Arpinder do not make any sense together and it's not just a status thing.

Tagging some of my usual peeps to chime in.

I agree and I never liked them from the start. Maybe as a comic relief but Sundar and Arpita are poles apart. ITV land me sab chalta hai but in real life if you and your spouse are not equally driven or ambitious despite being in love the relationship wont survive.

On point bro... I mean i know ITV is far beyond logic and practicality but they tried to show some realistic tropes and increased our expectations 🤧

Right. This type of relationship is very difficult to sail through successfully
