I just happened to search the tag Abhira on Twitter. What I read there has ruined my mood. Folks are thinking they are marrying in order to separate. I’m wondering what I’m doing watching this show because it’s affecting me.
It was a heart breaking episode. But I agree with everything you wrote. I hope this track ends with complete closure of the accident and Ak standing with Abhi 100%.
Because the alternative is not pretty. They will have to show Ak deeply traumatized and Ar deeply manipulative and Abhi ping pong between them and I’m in no mood for tragedy.
Such a heartbreaking episode today. I see there are mixed opinions about abhi-ak video call, so let me put in my two cents as well.
Abhi asking ak if she wants anything and ak refusing:
Yesterday abhi asked ak if she is happy choosing him to which she said she is very happy but also sad for ar. Then during mehendi dance sequence, he saw ak holding her ears and gesturing “sorry” to ar who was standing in the balcony- he understood ak is feeling guilty for choosing. He saw ak panic with worry when ar was hurt. So by asking her if she wants anything from him, I think he wanted to give her that opportunity where she could ask him to retract his decision. As such relieving her from the sadness and guilt of choosing him over arohi. This shows his concern for ak’s mental and emotional well being. He is willing to bend and compromise for the sake of her peace. As Manish said, he truly has a very big heart and that heart is overflowing with love for ak.
Now comes ak’s answer:
No, she doesn’t want anything. She is getting her abhi and her destination wedding and she is happy. That’s ak. She will not ask him for anything that would give him pain. Even though ar not being a part of the wedding is breaking her heart, she is not going to ask him to retract his decision. She respects his love, his decision, and is going to trust him even if that means immense pain for her. He has asked her to trust him when he said, “whatever I am doing is for our happiness” (in the garden when they had big talks about trust) and that’s what she is going to do.
Ak’s refusal to sing:
I don’t think we should take her refusal to sing as a sign of disrespect for abhi or as disregard for his wishes. In fact, I am very happy that she didn’t sing because she didn’t feel like it. It shows her honesty to him. It shows she is willing to show her “pain” to him. If she would have just pretended to be alright and sang just because he wanted her to do so, then it would mean that there is no difference between abhi and rest of the world where she is always putting her wishes aside to please other people.. Even in yesterday’s episode, she said she is very very happy for choosing him but she is also sad for ar and it will take time for that sadness to go away. She was honest to him about her feelings yesterday and she’s honest about her feelings today. Her refusal again speaks volumes as to how she views abhi as her “apna” where she is comfortable enough to show her pain to him and does not have to pretend or hide her true feelings.
Abhi saying he came in between both the sisters and he will not stay in between them:
Abhi’s intention behind that condition was 1) to punish arohi and 2) to protect ak from ar. While abhi won since ak chose him, he is still not happy as he lost ak’s peace in the process. It turned out to be more of a punishment for ak than for arohi because ak is now bearing the guilt of making a choice, sadness of missing ar from the most imp day of her life, and the pain of her unfulfilled dream of having wedding family photo with everyone present and happy. (This is the same ak that went above and beyond to convince harsh to attend tilak as she wanted the whole family present- so naturally, not having her dear sister ar present at the wedding is obviously gonna sting bad for her). So now, abhi who had put himself in between both sisters to shield ak from ar needs to step aside for ak’s happiness. He needs to change his strategy/ alter his plan as he can’t see ak in pain. So instead of standing in front of her, he will need to stand besides her… loving her, guiding her, supporting her and protecting her but from the side and ak will need to fight her own fight against ar. Again, I feel this is leading up to the final kaand which will show ak fighting ar for abhi. (For his honor I mean)
Kaand is coming for sure. Accident track is not over yet. There is still drama left. Now, if it’s about revealing the real culprits behind the accident or about Manjari’s health condition or something else- don’t know. But something big is going to happen soon… parth and neil will be involved in getting the truth out (since they are shown as hitting the drums in sbs segment) and that day we will get abhi ki akshu. I strongly feel that all this will happen on shadi day as it has been hinted by ak in yesterday’s episode that by shadi day his love (in form of mehendi color) will be in full bloom and also because she will be wearing red (red is always when ak stands against/fights the world for abhi and wins)
