That's how Disha works. She is a very happy go lucky and content person.
Doesn't even promote herself much on Instagram with nice glamorous photoshoots..
Didn't have a tad bit of problem in not winning award..
Though I want her to be acknowledged through awards , for 2 reasons
1) Her acting ofcourse
2) The character Priya needs to be acknowledged on ITV platforms like Indian telly awards. It needs special mention. I see this as a really important breakthrough role of Indian Television , it will only encourage writers and directors to look beyond Adarsh bahu, decked with makeup and jewelry and will encourage budding actresses too..
( Imagine Disha as Priya in the yellow dress of first episode, in an award function were everyone else will be glamorously dressed, walking to the stage in that Priya wala walking style ( Confident eyes and erect back) . My eyes will swell with pride đ)
From unconventional dressing ,makeup to the character itself , Priya deserves to be formally acknowledged, recognized and celebrated ..
When there is so much acceptance for alpha males, Chauvinist arrogant ML manhandling FL twisting her hands, breaking things violently , removing FL from job, harassing her family and what not , we see such characters winning awards, audience votes since eternity while a character like Priya is called b****, toxic , undeserving of happiness when honestly Priya is anything but toxic .
With the show most probably wrapping up soon, it feels little sad to think that Priya came and went , and got no recognition ..
At the same time , it is very much understandable why DP would not win an award , it has got nothing to do with NM but her own lack of popularity .
You read my mind. Thank you, my love â€ïž
Toxic MLs are not heroes.
Docile FLs are not heroes
ITV needs good writers because TV as a medium do influence the crowd ... Change of perspective is needed!
Guys can cry
Girls can fight
This has nothing to do with machoism or feminism, its all about being equal and showing emotions.
